I overpaid and did not receive my reimbursement. This is unprofessional and selfish, when all the other federal campgrounds reimburse my overpayment immediately.

Site 10 was so uneven that we couldnt get level even with double levelers, and we tried two different ways to position our camper! Thankfully, site 8 is flatter at the top, is right next door and the ranger let us move. Bathroom was probably the cleanest one weve ever encountered at an ACoE site.

Had a really nice stay. Site #10 is not very level making difficult to level out camper. Outside of that the hostesses were very nice and friendly ready to help in any way. The comfort station was very clean

Supposed to stay on site 10 and understood it had a slope. This particular site is not even close to being level (9.5" slope from drivers to passengers side.). It also should only be label for a 25 ft or less. I have a 30ft trailer and it took me a while to back into the site because of a big rock and tree you have maneuver around to back in. After finally getting into the site we felt it was very unsafe for my wife to walk around. The the pictures showed the bathhouse was near but it was also an incline and the grass hadn't been mowed to walk up to it. Again I felt it was unsafe for my wife. After asking to be reimburse I was declined by park host. I understood one day but not the other 2 days we were scheduled to stay. This is the first time we ever felt unsafe at a COE park throughout all our travels. This is the nearest one way roads at a COE park we have ever stayed. This is not big rig friendly.

We had reserved site 10, which I didnt read the reviews and that was a problem. It seems that everyone has had trouble leveling their rv on this site. It needs some attention from the park system to fix this problem. We can have our rv leveled and set up in 15 minutes but after and hour and 45 minutes and still not level we were ready to just leave and go home. The campground host (R D) came over to to give us our site pass and we told him that we were not staying and he generously moved us to another site which was a campground host site with full hook ups. We moved to that site and all was set up within minutes. A big thank you to R D.

Great campground, clean bathrooms, nice campsite managers. Ill definitely be back. Small tip. I would try to avoid a site next to the bathrooms as the led lights stay on all night and can be harsh. No problem while youre sleeping in your tent and great for late night bathroom breaks. But does take a little away from the glow of the campfire. Not a big deal at all though! 5/5

We enjoyed our stay here. We had read reviews ahead of time on how unlevel campsite #10 was. Hoping that it had been leveled out sometime in the last year since those reviews. But we ended up using every leveling block and even cut up wood we brought to make it somewhat more level for our travel trailer. There was also standing water on our site and a wasp nest at the base of a rotting tree. Which we had to navigate around with our dogs. The campground and the people we met, couldn't be better. We will look around for another campsite when we return. When I got online to check other sites realized we would never get the opportunity for campsite #6 as someone who lives close by monopolizes that site. Not very fair to the rest of the people wanting the expierence of relaxing there for several days. I can say this as several other campers confirmed my suspicions.

Not too much choice if you want a reservation. Was told short staffing issue made it difficult for phone reservations and questions on site conditions.

Enjoyed our stay in early November 2022 and the scenery we had of the changing leaves and views of the lake were very nice. Stayed on site #10 which was NOT very flat and required lot of blocking under wheels and stabilizer jacks.Camped in a 20ft travel trailer so would have been worse with a longer trailer on this particular site. No sewer hookups but the dump station was a pull- through that was clean and easy to get to and use. The showers / bathroom was VERY clean and well kept and HEATED which was very welcome on the chilly mornings. The showers had a push in type of valve that would run the preset water temp for about 30seconds at a push so had to keep pushing. I know this is a water conservation thing but would have liked it to have lasted at least a minute but minor inconvenience for our stay. We would definitely return to this campground in the future if in the area.

We enjoyed our first camping trip at Morganton in mid-September. We stayed at site 10, which isn't quite level, but after a few tries, we got our A frame camper fairly leveled out. This site is also very shady, and an easy walk up hill to the bath house. A very short walk down to the road and across to either sites 11 or 9 gave us easy lake access. We had a nice view of the lake from our picnic table, especially while site 9 was unoccupied! While there were no campers at 9, we used that site for easy access to the lake with our kayaks. The fire ring at site 10 is very deep, so we didn't think it was the best for charcoal cooking and we used a small charcoal grill instead. However, it was great for having a fire at night. We both agreed that the bath house was the largest & cleanest we have ever yet seen at a campground! Since our camper doesn't have a bathroom, this is important. We had plenty of space between our site and the sites on each side of us. This is a smaller campground, but extremely shady, quiet & peaceful. Being on Lake Blue Ridge is really great! There is a trail near site 1 that leads to the Morganton Point recreation area, for swimming & picnics (plenty of picnic tables) and also a boat launch. There was a brochure for Capt'n Joe's Lake Adventures & we took a 2 hr pontoon tour with him & his wife Sue, which was excellent! Highly recommend! Very informative about the lake, dam, & history, plus very scenic. While camping, we went to Mercier Orchards in Blue Ridge, Terri's Treasure Trove on Lakewood Hwy (close to the campground), Humane Society of Blue Ridge Upscale Resale & Thrift Store. Stanley Rapids of the Toccoa River on Aska Road were beautiful & great for cooling off! Next time we need to do some hiking. Sunsets from site 5 at Morganton and by the tent area parking lot were incredible!

We loved Morganton Point. My son loved being able to walk from our campsite to the lake to fish. The bath houses were spotless and the sites were big and had a nice fire ring. The campground was very quiet and peaceful up until our last night there. We called the after hours number twice, but the camp host only came out once, so it made for a very long night for us and our kids having to listen to their partying and extremely foul language being used. The campground is close to town, yet secluded enough to not make you feel like you are. We enjoyed riding the Blue Ridge Scenice Railway as well as visiting Mercier Orchards and horseback riding in the mountains. We will definitely return!

Site 10 was great for us! Close to the bath house but not too close. Views of the lake and a big open field our boys loved playing in and riding their bikes! The trail that leads to the beach was beautiful and easy for young children.

The campground is very well kept. The host greeted and welcomed us immediately and offered to deliver firewood and/or ice if needed. Our campsite was not very level at all, so it took some work to get the camper level. We would stay at the campground again, but definitely choose a different site. The bathhouse was very clean - the only downside is that the water in the showers is on a timer (10 seconds) and the temperature cannot be changed. It's hard to find the button to push to restart the water when you have soap in your eyes.
