Stayed in site 27, very close to the restrooms and washroom (not close enough to bother anyone, in my opinion). The site is also close to the creek and nature trail (yellow triangle marker) which allows one access to other trails (blue, red). Would not recommend for anyone with stairs/steps issues, as the vehicle parking area for the site is lower than the fire ring, picnic table and tent area and there are 3 or 4 "long lenthwise steps" to reach that area. It was not an issue for me but may be for handicapped, toddlers or seniors. I had no access to T-Mobile, until I went on the Yellow nature trail, across the creek and up the hill to the next intersection (5 min walk). Firewood is by donation at the front part of the camp. Hope you enjoy.

Great Rangers to work with, they really helped us out. Will always come back here.

This is a review for our two night stay at site 27. The site was clean on arrival with a nice fire pit and large picnic table. There's a hook for a trashbag next to the picnic table to keep the critters from getting into the trash at night (preferable to locking the trash in the car). The camp hosts were great! They stopped by our site and gave our kids some ranger badges and reminded us to check our shoes in the morning for baby copperheads as they were out and about (nice to know and we did see one on a hike). Site 27 was fine, but is does have a noticeable slope from the tent pad down to the parking pad. Probably not the best site for people with small kids or those who may be prone to falls. Some of the log steps have rebar protruding that could contribute to falls so be aware. The proximity of site 27 to the bathrooms did not present any issues, and actually was helpful since we had to little ones. The firewood shed was great and for $10 we had enough wood to last us two days of morning and evening campfires. The map doesn't give scale to the campground but the sites are about 100 or so feet apart to give you an idea of the size. It is not dispersed camping by any means but you also don't feel as though you're too close to other campers. All in all, a great campground and we had a great experience. We'll definitely be returning to OCCG.

Suitable for small camping setups only, many sites will likely not fit the maximum size allowed (I fit). Some were not flat. Sites were shady and quiet. Campground is pleasingly dark. My stay was short, but very pleasant.
