We stayed at site #21. It was very quiet and beautiful! The fire pit was large and provided a great fire. The view of the mountains and the wildflowers around the site were lovely. On the downside, there appeared to be a very large poison ivy bush on the north side of the camper pad. We didn’t have a chance to talk to the camp host about it. We avoided it, but others might not notice it and get into it accidentally. Also, the site is conveniently located near the restroom, but there was an odor that could be detected at this particular site at times. It probably depended on the direction of the breeze. All in all, our visit to Agua Piedra was a fantastic experience. We would definitely return!

What a gorgeous spot! We originally booked at Abiquiu, but due to COVID, our reservations were canceled. Divine intervention! We came across Agua Piedra in a panic & booked ASAP. We have a 34.5 ft travel trailer, 3 talkative dogs, & 2 inverter generators. We ended up reserving spot A21; next time the host suggested with such a big rig to grab spots 39 or 13. Nevertheless, we were just up from the creek & it was so peaceful to hear the water. Onsite toilets were super clean and well-stocked; remember to bring your own hand sanitizer. We took the 3 pups up trail 19 then meandered back through the open grassy (equestrian?) area. The views are gorgeous! The host informed us about generator hours and firewood rules, which were more than fair, and also gave us a heads up about overnight frost predictions. Thank goodness or we wouldn’t have thought to crank on the heater. Not a con for us, but we had zero AT&T service, so download your Netflix shows ahead of time! Overall, we are so pleased to have stumbled upon this gem of a campground!
