Great spot. Good enough that I returned a week later! Peaceful, quiet, and lots of mutually respectful campers. The only downfall was my lack of assuredness on the drinking water which is listed as potable but smelled VERY strongly of sulphur to the point I chose to take a drive to grab some just in case but that was a fixable issue.

This is a beautiful campground and, despite the sites being somewhat close together, very quiet at night. The hosts were friendly and the bathrooms clean. We had no problems at all. My 9yo and I hiked the Indian Lake Trail #19C that starts in the campground, and although the grade was a bit steep at times, the meadow at the top was amazing.

Taos and Santa Fe are both within easy driving distance, and the roads to each of those destinations are quite picturesque.

One word of caution... as others have mentioned, this is very much an "unplug and enjoy nature" type of campground. You'll have to drive several miles down the road to find any cell reception and even further to be able to use any data. If you plan to use your phone for navigation purposes (driving or hiking), I would strongly recommend downloading maps whenever possible and familiarizing yourself with directions before you arrive.

Altogether, this was a great experience. We look forward to coming back again!

We enjoyed camping here. It is a beautiful area of New Mexico.
