Beautiful, quiet campground about 40 min south of the west entrance to Yellowstone. Also conveniently located to Harriman State Park, Island Park Reservoir, and lots of fly fishing spots. We stayed in site B06. It is a back-in site, which was perfect for us because we were tenting. It felt pretty private. There were plenty of space and trees between sites, but they didn't have a lot of branches lower down so you could see the neighbors, particularly on one side. Many sites that have pull throughs for RVS. B loop had more shade, but A loop was closer to the river. There is a a C loop with first come first serve sites available, also nicely shaded. Bathrooms are pit toilets, but they are immaculate. I honestly felt better using these than some of the flush toilets at gas stations, ect. Camp hosts were friendly. Firewood on site for purchase ($6/bundle). Potable water spigots conveniently scattered throughout the grounds - don't wash hands, food, ect at the spigot - take it back to your site! There are also a few bear lockers around if you want to leave food on site. They are communal, so be conscientious. We stayed during the week before Labor Day and there were plenty of empty spaces, but the camp host said they would probably be full by Thursday or Friday of Labor Day weekend. Will definitely stay again!
