Great stay here! Such a nice place. Make sure to get pies (fresh every day) from the Gifford House. Not the cheapest but worth it. They have homemade ice cream too. Staying directly in the National Park is a joy, and it was great to access everything so directly.

Fruita Campground was an oasis in the high desert. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the campground. Such a relaxing place with the trees and the creek near by. Got to say, definitely go for the pies ... they are great!

Nice campground, lots of trees, grass, deer wandering around. Great hikes. Excellent bakery.

Great experience to camp inside of Capital Reef!! This a beautiful campground surrounded by the active orchards of Fruita. We Camped in a 39 foot motorhome. The sites are paved and there is a lot of space between sites. No hookups but we took advantage of morning and even generator hours. There are bathrooms and drinking water but there are no showers in the park. Its great to hike straight from campsite.

The campground is amazing. It is so peaceful, there are a lot of hikes that start from the campground. The bakery is amazing and we could walk to the petroglyphs and the schoolhouse. We met great people there and look forward to staying again. We have a 43ft fifth wheel and had no problem fitting. We were in loop C. It is amazing there.

Highly recommend the Geology Talk at 3 PM at the Amphitheater! Really helps to have a better understanding of the area. And don't feel badly if you hit the Bakery every day! We did!

Clean park. Campground hosts very helpful and accommodating. Dump station could use updating.

The campground is clean, grassy and shaded with trees—an oasis in the desert.

This was a basic campground with no hook-ups. It was very quiet, lots of trees (saw deer eating June berries in the a.m.), very basic accommodations. There is a slop sink outside of bathrooms and a drinking water spout. Nothing fancy here. Two toilets and not great sinks in the bathroom for brushing teeth and cleaning up. No showers, or unclear where showers were (we got there at night). This is what one would expect when camping in a national park with no hook-ups. We weren't disappointed in that, but I'm sharing to manage expectations for campers overall. The price was really low and we're glad we stayed here.

A beautiful hike to Fremont Gorge Overlook. A little more elevation gain than I realized but well worth the effort. Highly recommended.

The restrooms near my campsite were closed and all of the water supply valves had locks on them. Not sure why. I camped early in the season March 4-6, 2020. Hiked the Navaho Knobs trail and the Cassidy Arch amongst others. Those were the two highlights. Cold and windy at night. Unfortunately, as usual RV generators on in the evening. Beautiful canyons, vistas, and trails hiking in solitude.
