It is nice to have tents separated from RVs with their generators.

Awesome campground! Loved the trees and the great shade, we did not have rain but might get very muddy in rainy days. The restrooms could be cleaner and improved however great experience... Hopefully showers will be available within camp

This was our second time camping in Fruita Campground at Capitol Reef N.P. and although the sites dont offer much privacy, they are close to some trails, the Gifford House (awesome pies), and the bathrooms are clean and convenient. We loved hiking the Cohab Canyon Trail with the trailhead right across the street from the campground and would stay there again in the future. We just wished there were more campsites available so it isnt a mad dash to reserve one online.

Nice, shady spots. Lots of deer roaming the area but they leave campers alone. We saw a big horned sheep up the trail along the river. Zero cell signal but otherwise great.

The campground is excellent. The orchard was a special treat and the pies were delicious. The rangers in the visitor center were friendly and informative.

This was the most beautiful campground that I stayed at in the Utah national parks. Very well maintained and the scenery/surroundings are beautiful. They don't have showers, however, so keep that in mind! We tent camped and had to hit a truck stop shower after a long day of hiking.

Such a beautiful and peaceful campground. I stayed two nights at two seperate spots one in loop C, one in loop B. Great hiking trails right around the area, and an easy walk to the Gifford House for pie and cinnamon rolls in the morning definitely didnt suck. :) Nearby ranger-led programs and geology talks were awesome! I got to see a presentation from the artist in residence at the campground amphitheater which I wasnt expecting but it was a pleasant and enjoyable surprise. The second afternoon, there were kids at a nearby campsite consistently run through my site to get to their other friends nearby, so that was pretty annoying. Also one of the kids started crying both at 1 AM and 6 AM and it was so loud it woke me up both times. I know thats not the campgrounds fault, but this family decided to run their car or generator or something along with the kid crying, BOTH times, which was incredibly rude in my opinion and directly violated quiet hours/ generator hours. No sign of the camp host or NPS anywhere during these times to enforce those rules and help the situation. Other than that, campground host and NPS presence at the campground throughout the day was noticeable (but not overbearing) and very much appreciated, since I often camp solo. I just wish there was some kind of nightly patrol that could make sure quiet hours are being honored by all campers.

Lots of space but really dusty so wind was blowing dust into the tent.

Hand dryer did not work in women restroom, camp host could be more friendly, on top of each other like city camping. Would not camp their again

Very nice campground in my favorite Utah national park to visit. I usually go twice a year, late April or early May and then again in mid September to avoid the worst of the heat. September is a very popular time to go so book your campsite way in advance. Capitol Reef attracts people who want a relaxed atmosphere. There are plenty of things to see and do. You just get to do them without having to endure the crazy touristy feel of Zion or the Moab parks. That's why I have been coming back for over 20 years.

We really enjoyed how many hikes were around the campground. You didn’t have to drive around. Also, we loved the strawberry rhubarb pie!!!!

One of the most beautiful NPS campgrounds in canyon country. The campground is nestled among lush orchards with a backdrop of red canyon walls.

This campground is great for tent camping! Plenty of space for the tent, plus a picnic table and fire ring (I believe they have those at almost every site here). The view is also gorgeous, you are right next to several orchards and near some beautiful sandstone cliffs. I spotted many deer wandering through the campground, a bonus surprise! This campsite is definitely worth the money, its close proximity to the scenic drive and the other sights in Capitol Reef make it very convenient. Water is available and the restrooms were clean!

Nice clean bathrooms, wide open space, quiet, beautiful night sky. Stores are not close so make sure you plan ahead. Park staff very friendly and gracious.
