Bathrooms were clean. Host was helpful and shared info about raccoons. Stars were gorgeous.

What a beautiful campground in the Fall! The bathrooms were very clean as well as the campsites. The female camp host (I didn't get her name) came to to let campers know about the raccoons raiding campsites at night and to inform me to be sure to put all food away. She and I visited for a spell and she was so knowledgeable about the area and I greatly appreciated her sharing information with me. I will definitely be returning to this gem of a National Park!

Wonderful trees and grass giving needed shade and cool grounds. Good sized sites. Clean bathrooms. Cano hosts were very cordial. Nice hikes right out of the campgrounds.

This is a cute campground with wonderful access to the Gifford House and hiking right from the campground. A couple notes to know: if you want to use a generator, you just book Loop C. If you are depending on solar power, the multitude of beautiful trees will not allow batteries to charge.

Very loud group next to us that did not quiet down at lights out and camp hosts were already asleep

My friend and I loved this campground! It is so cozy and shady. The parking spots were huge, much more than we personally needed. In an excellent spot within the park. We did not want to leave it was such a peaceful vibe there! Right around the corner from fruit trees, when in season

Lots of shade. Parking is double wide so there's room for truck and trailer. Right across from the bathrooms.

Everything about the campground and Capital Reef was 5star. A bonus was that our site had nice mature shade trees.

We loved this campground. It was very welcoming and has a great location in the park. The pies at the Gifford house are fantastic. We definitely will be back. The one weird thing is that the fire pit and table is on the opposite side of a normal backed in camper. This is a little weird but not a game changer.

Large sites, clean bathrooms. I wish there was a little more tree coverage but still a great campground!

The campground itself is kind of crowded, not much privacy at all. But the park itself is gorgeous and it is totally worth it to camp there.

The reservation process was easy and our check-in and stay were seamless and easy. We really enjoyed our brief time at Fruita. We had stayed there 30 years ago and it brought back wonderful memories. The evening presentation at the campground amphitheater was enjoyable and we loved getting to see all the deer roaming around camp.

We loved the campground at Fruita. The bathrooms were kept clean, and there was excellent stargazing at nearby Panorama Point. Days were warm, nights were cool. We devoured the personal pies at the Griffin House--peach & strawberry-rhubarb were favorites. Hiked to Cassidy Arch & Hickman Bridge. Waded in the Fremont River. Remote & relaxing--highly recommend. Only drawback, no showers.

Fruita Campground at Capitol is one of our favorite Campgrounds! We try to stay there at least once a year. It is quiet, as it is located 1 mi from the main road and therefore, quiet. There is shade, and the Fremont River runs along the side. The Camp Hosts are always friendly, and the bathrooms are always well maintained. Two trailheads are located near the Campground, so you can hike without driving to the trailheads.

The area was nice, bathrooms very clean, camping spots not very private, we had little shade so it was uncomfortable but otherwise a good experience

Loved the campground and the park. Peaceful. Only recommendation would be to limit cars on the scenic drive.

Great park and campsites and so well kept.one of our favorites all-around. However, right as we were cooking dinner outside, the Rv next to us started their generator, which spewed obnoxious and nauseating exhaust. We asked him about it and he said he needed it on to run his microwave. We could not be next to it and had to move to do dinner. I know this is not your fault but maybe a generator-free loop is needed for those of us that dont have RVs. Thank you.

We have been coming to Capitol Reef every spring break for 26 years. We have always found the Fruita campground to be exceptionally nice, clean and well maintained. We have hiked every trail listed on the visitors guide, many of them numerous times. This year we hiked to Fern's Nipple from the Grand Wash (not a publicized route, but a fabulous hike). It was one of the very best hikes we have taken. The Sulphur Creek hike from the Chimney Rock trailhead to the Visitors Center is another favorite hike we did again this year. Great fun if you like a bit of a challenge, like some scrambling and don't mind getting wet.
