Campground was very nice, its open but you dont feel a lack of privacy in most places as the sites are spaced enough where needed. The area is so nice and quite, must get the pies. Thats for sure

Site C068 was an amazing campsite! This entire site was well shaded, and also was a short walk from bathrooms, water, and dumpsters. This site is on the corner of the campsite and overlooks the orchards and field, which many deer passed through. There is an orchard irrigation system that runs right along this campsite, which makes for great white noise if you don't mind running water sounds. There is the freemont river trail about 100 yards away that takes you to the river to cool off and goes along a beautiful horse pasture with a mom and baby horse. The trail continues to an incline with views. Make sure to get a warm, fresh pie from the Gifford house when they open at 9am, before they sell out.

Great campsite. We loved the deer and fawns that grazed so comfortably near all the campers. The kids thought the evening ranger program was enjoyable.

This campground was so serene, quiet and comfortable spacing between each campsite. Being right between two beautiful mountains was a great way to wake up. Watching shooting stars from here was also an amazing experience! Definitely will be back!!

site 068, at the edge of the CG close to the orchard, where often mule deers are grazing

We were in loop C. Nice. People were respectful of noise and quiet hours. Our visit was in April 25 and the weather was perfect for us. Not too cold, not too hot. Very popular NP. The visitor center was super busy, and the staff was very professional with all the silly questions the visitors ask. I commend them on their patience

Great Campground without the typical National Park feel, this one feels more like a private campground tucked in a canyon.

This was one of the most beautiful campgrounds we have ever been to. The friendly, local deer welcomed us when we got there and were there to make sure all of our needs were met. The scenery was breathtaking and the kids had so much fun just playing outside. The only complaint was that the bathrooms were closed, so it was a bit of a trek to Loop A to use the facilities.

Beautiful location but loop C in the Fruita campground is relatively noisy since generators are allowed and a number of campers ran generators after designated hours

Very nice located. Scenic road under construction. Spaces sufficient. Washrooms very clean. Would like to visit again.

I would put this park at the top of the list. Has everything without the crowds.

Beautiful campground - clean facilities, quiet, and campers were respectful of others and the time of day. Many deer in the orchard as well. If it rains a lot it can be muddy.

Loved camping in the Orchards. Make sure you get in line before 9 to get the best cinnamon rolls!!!

We love this campground, especially in the fall with all the colorful leaves and the apples. The orchard was full of deer hanging around which is fun to see and the self service apple picking is always fun. We did the scenic drive which starts right at the campground, it was fantastic! It is a 20 mile drive round trip with the last section being a dirt road but very drivable for cars.

This is a beautiful campground. I enjoy the grassy campsites and the close proximity to the historic fruit trees. I also enjoy getting a pie in the afternoon and a cinnamon roll in the morning. This is a unique opportunity that I have found in no other national park.

We always love coming to Fruita. We totally enjoy the fruit pies from the Gifford house. Kinda sad that they don’t get the yummy bread any longer. The weather was perfect! Plan to camp there many more times in the future

We stayed in a 32 foot Class A motor home for two days during hot weather in August 2022. Stayed in Loop C Site 68 which provided some nice shade. We would suggest summer hours for generator hours especially the late afternoon and evening hours. It is still quite warm at 8 pm when generator hours are over. Maybe go until 9 pm to allow us to use generator while it is still warm.

I really loved the campground and park however my experience there was ruined by the large group that was able to rent out all of the middle sites. They were very loud with their activities and played music late into the night. There was no consideration for the campers around them.

Beautiful campground with great campsites. The bathroom in our loop was locked and water was still shut off throughout the campground, so we had to use bathroom sinks. Almost felt like the campground was closed.

This was a diamond in the rough national park for sure. Even compared to other parks in Utah we just didn't quite expect the massive size of the landscape surrounding us. This is probably the most unique/most beautiful campground we've ever stayed at as well. Camping right next to all the orchards with the apples almost ready (but not quite) to pick was incredible. The pie shop (delicious pies) and other quaint old settler buildings were a delightful surprise. It was also nice to relax by the river and picnic as the deer grazed out in the meadow nearby. The campsite is right next to the scenic drive entrance so it was a great central location as well. We stayed in the C loop so right near the amphitheater for those interested in ranger-led programs. Overall a fantastic campsite in our new favorite national park.
