This site - Loop C, 069 - is terrible. It is small, there are no trees or grass, it is immediately adjacent to a busy trailhead road, and there is no place to set up a tent - what little ground there is is covered in gravel/rocks. Cars passing on the gravel road kick up dust into this site. The fire ring is 18 inches from the road, so if the wind is blowing from the wrong direction, you have to set up your chairs in the road to enjoy the fire. This site should be removed.

The campground had beautiful views of the rock cliffs and was right next to the river. You could hear the water at night. The sites had a reasonable amount of space and the spaces were relatively large for parking travel trailers. The restrooms were also immaculate and had electricity if needed. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful campground in the middle of the orchard. A wonderful way to wake up each day.

Our site in loop C was large, clean, and easy to get into. However, we arrived in the dark, and road signage leading to campground and specifically loop C wasn't super clear. We had to pull into loop A and hop out to view the campground map to figure out where we were headed. We had a reservation, but the sign posts at sites said campers arriving without a reservation could scan QR code and use park wifi to check if sites were available. There was absolutely no park wifi available. We were able to access park wifi from the visitor's center in the morning, but this area is not walking distance from the campsites. The camp host we met in the morning was friendly and helpful. We were able to easily walk the riverside path to the Gifford House for displays and pies. Other points of interest (visitor's center, school house, hikes) require a drive. No Orchards were in season when we visited (March) but the blossoms were beautiful. Would love to return another time of year to enjoy the fruit.

It's very convenient to be inside the National Park. We visited in late November, and it was a cold night, (so bring extra bedding if you are tent camping and firewood - none is sold inside the park that we saw). The bathrooms in the loop I reserved (Loop C) closed for the season after I booked my reservation, so consider this if you are visiting in the off-season. Very quiet campground and park, we had the place nearly to ourselves!

We stayed in Fruita dur to its location within Capital Reef Natl Park. Our site was excellent - no hookups - but that was known going in. We filled with water at the dump station and had a great stay. Only one night unfortunately but would love to come back for more. Do the "Loop the Fold" if you are up to it; Escallante staircase; and don't forget the pie (it was wonderfull)!

The campground was a huge improvement from our last visit over 30 years ago. Our campground host was excellent. He found us extra nights to allow our 3 nights extend to 5. Overall a great experience.

Campsites are small but acceptable. I very much appreciate the limited hours for generator use. Please adopt this policy in more campgrounds.

Great campground! Visitors Center unfortunately provided minimal information and should ALWAYS recommend the books in the store for sale that provide great detail on what you will see. B failed to do that when we asked about Notom road and Cathedral Gorge. I read the books AFTER we drove them. I dont care how overworked and busy they think they are, but the staff should focus on whats best for the visitors. Other than that, it was a terrific visit.

GORGEOUS campground in the heart of Capitol Reef NP. Very quiet, lovely place to stargaze after dark. Bathrooms were relatively clean for a campground, no showers available. Our only complaint was that we had some RV campers who ran generators past 11pm the night we stayed unfortunately!

Beautiful campground with deers grazing in the orchards and a tree-lined stream (which makes for nice white noise at night). Campsites themselves feel a bit exposed when in a tent (we were in 069), especially surrounded by RVs - but once the sun is down, there's a cozy, peaceful vibe all around. Really pretty place to wander around, beautiful stars, nice energy. Definitely recommend!

The location is excellent. Bathroom left a lot to be desired. I recommend putting in electric hook ups.

I've been to 46 National Parks, and the experience at the Fruita Campground was by far the most unique. I would definitely stay there again and recommend to my friends and family to stay there as well!

What a beautiful park!!! We stayed 3 days. We had a wonderful trip. The only issue is no use of generators in loop B. Most newer trailers are solar powered for refrigerators & with the fantastic shade, the solar panels couldnt keep up.

Beautiful location with easy access to the scenic drive, popular hikes and the visitor center.

Beautiful! Camping near the orchard was a treat and we loved watching the deer throughout the area. Highly recommend grabbing a pie and some ice cream from the store on site! One thing to note is that these sites were much closer together than a lot of the other NP campgrounds I’ve stayed at and there was little foliage between them so privacy was limited

The campground was very clean and located close to hiking trails. The store had ice cream and fresh baked cinnamon rolls & pies, which were an unexpected treat!

We love Capitol Reef and staying at the Fruita Campground. Our third year in a row. The campground is clean, the trees are amazing but they could plant some more (not all campsites have shade). Be sure to hike up the Fremont River overlook trail from camp for a stunning sunset view. Cohan Canyon from the campground is also super unique (have a partner pick you up at the Hickman Arch parking lot). Also hike up Sulphur Creek Canyon behind the visitor center.

Great site! Beautiful & peaceful setting. We loved the deer that grazed in the adjacent orchard each morning.

Limited shade, and we were one of only two other tent campers in a sea of RVs. Enjoyed deer and robins in orchard, however.

Our family LOVED the Fruita Campground! It feels like an oasis in the middle of a dessert because there are beautiful orchards next door to the campground and a river nearby. It's easy to get to and the facilities are nice. We also attended an amazing geology Ranger presentation at the amphitheater next door to the campground. I very much highly recommend staying here!

Clean campgrounds and bathrooms (with soap!). The utility sink was broken in loop C, which was a bummer.

There is no privacy between sites whatsoever. Our site, 69, backed up to the gravel road to the Amphitheater, so it was dusty whenever a car rolled through.

Nice that there was a dump station in the campground and very minimal wait. The fill station was really slow. Bring a hose.

Overall, a nice stay!
