Nice site. Sites were pretty close together, no privacy. Little shade. I picked a site that said tent location but there was very little space for the tent. Spoke with camp host and she stated no one really uses tents anymore . Nice location. Has a lot of hiking trails near by. I would stay again.

Beautiful campground! Was quiet and clean. The history was interesting, and the pies were great!

Camping in the campground was great. The deer herd wanders through, obviously acclimated to the visitors. We did the Orchard tour, two geology talks (all were really informative and interesting), and we did a couple of hikes. Great Park!

The fire pit was full of previously burned wood. Needs to be checked daily and cleaned if necessary. Same experience at Bryce. We were there four nights and it was never cleaned out.

Nice campground w/ trees providing shade. Clean restrooms w/ flush toilets. Very helpful campground host (The lady was a volunteer from Tennessee). Unfortunately the scenic route was closed, but we could do a short hike along the river w/ great views starting right at the campground.

Beautiful, peaceful, and the pies in the morning complete the experience.

Excellent experience at the Fruita campground! We particularly appreciated how quiet the campground was due to the lack of generators now that they are restricted to Loop C. Good move on the Park Service's part.

Fruita was absolutely amazing. With deer just casually grazing in the campgrounds and the amazing shade trees, it was a true delight to visit. The pies were a great treat as well. I can't wait to visit again.

Amazing campground! So close to the river, great access to trails. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful setting and worth doing without electric and water to be in the park and within walking distance of several trails and the pie shop.

Very nice campground. We have a tent and there was ample flat space for our tent. The camp hosts were very friendly and helpful (much more so than the rangers at the visitor center who didn't seem to know anything about current conditions within the park). While you're there, don't miss out on the pie and sourdough bread at the Gifford House!

Great location, clean facilities and awesome ranger program at night.

Camp hosts were kind and interested in our boys. The grounds are surrounded my orchards and pastures that nearly 20 heads of deer, wild turkeys and marmots occupied. The River trail is beautiful and can be accessed easily from anywhere in the campground. The Gifford House is a pleasant and brief walk from the grounds. Fruita is truly the beating heart of Capitol Reef. Our favorite hiking was in Sulphur Creek starting behind the visitor center— a very cool and refreshing water hike to beat the heat of the summer afternoons. Can highly recommend Fruita campground. We’ll be back!

Clean restrooms. Spot reserved correctly for our family. Quite campground even though it was full. Beautiful site with shade.

Beautiful campground on the Fremont River in the midst of a working orchard. Stunning canyons and synclines to view and hike. Some spots are rather tightly packed, especially over the weekend, with large groups sharing sights. Hosts were very nice and on the job keeping campground pretty spotless.
