Bathrooms were clean, space was clear, and the area is stunning.

Everything we needed...nothing we didn't. I loved the "No Generators" policy on RVs. I always hate it when I'm trying to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature and all I can hear is a 2-stroke motor running.

A wonderful campground surrounded by the red cliffs of southern Utah and the fruit orchards of the pioneers. Level pads for the rv and lots of shade trees. Heated, clean restrooms. As of Oct 2024 the scenic road is closed and the visitor centers parking lot is still under construction. No cell service but the visitor center has free wi-fi. But still lots to see in the area. Go to the Gifford House and buy a pie. (they sell out early everyday) and take a walk along the Fremont river trail. Truly a beautiful setting. Enjoy!!

Spacious campsite - lovely views. I heard deer hooves clopping by at early night and the morning birdsong was quite a show!

Campsite was covered with mud after a big rain.

Campground is well laid out. Site was fairly level shaded and clean. Restrooms were clean. Host was very hospitable.

We booked campsite 42, which appears as an outer ring campsite. So surprised to see three tent sites behind us, that were nowhere indicated on the park map. We're just van campers, but I felt misled. Better maps indicated tent sites would be more honest. Happy to see the move toward segregating the generator contingent. But relegating them to loop C is window-dressing. These big RVs need to be in a separate, distant area. A parking lot would suit them fine, since they never go outside. Loops C will now be a concentrated source of droning. To be clear, really apprecite the acknowledgement that there's a real issue here these days. But be bolder!

Great location and beautiful surroundings! Love the big trees and easy access to tons of trailheads including the Cohab trail right across the street. Fellow campers were super quiet and respectful at night. Bathrooms were clean. Perfect place to crash during a weekend of canyoneering.

Excellent campsite situated in the heart of capitol reef surrounded by fruit trees, lush scenery, and the serenity of nature. Highly recommend booking this campground well in advance, as it is ever popular. We enjoyed unrivaled views of the night sky, local deer grazing throughout the camp, and plenty of space and shade. We only stayed 1 night, but wished that we had made time for more!

The weather wasn't the best but we were able to get an extra night and even another for a family member. The camp host was an efficient and pleasurable fellow.

No cell signal, lots of camper trailers. Not sure if it was worth the money especially when there were plenty of dispersed camping just outside the park
