I have been staying at the this campground with my family since before I can remember. I have so many great memories here. It is still beautiful, well kept, clean, and quiet. Everyone is super respectful and its always a wonderful experience

Very nice stay, quiet and peaceful spot. Wildlife all around. We recommend.

On my solo National Parks Road Trip this summer, this was my favorite stop! The contrast of the green orchards with the red rock and blue sky is breathtaking. I would highly recommend attending one of the ranger programs at night to get a chance to see stars, and if you are lucky, even the Milky Way! I would also recommend getting a famous pie from the Gifford Homestead.

Loved the campground. So peaceful. My husband couldn’t deal without cell coverage.

Fruita is a lovely campground with plenty of trees and a fair amount of space between campsites. The bathrooms were clean and there was a sink for gray water. It would be great if they provided showers. There is so much to do there in terms of hiking and driving to see the geology of the area. There are also excellent ranger talks. I really enjoyed the talk on the geology of the area by Cliff. There was also a good talk about birds and a kid oriented jeopardy talk that was great for kids. This is a wonderful park.

By the way, we had a flat tire so went into Torrey to get it fixed. We stopped at the visitor center and the very friendly gentleman there said we needed to go to Bricknell - another 7 miles west. It took about 2 hrs for them to get to it and it cost $40. Since this had taken most of the morning we went to lunch at Curry Pizza. We had a great, if expensive, Indian meal while everyone else who came in ordered pizza. Lots of customers so their pizza must be good.

been there before and liked it . so went again and were not disappointed. Still a great campground. Family visiting had a great time-great grandson had a ball climbing rocks and going on trails with his Mom. And don't forget the pies.
