The reservation process was easy and with no hassle. its cool that we can pay with credit cards now. But there were many empty spaces and they looked taken in the reservation map though. The restrooms were clean too. overall we were happy to stay there after a long time not being at capitol reef.

I really enjoy camping here. The campground is not too big and is always clean. The host has always been friendly and helpful. The restrooms are clean. There are not showers, but you can drive to the Mather Campground if you need to use the showers. You can walk to the Trading Post, Market, Watchtower and canyon rim. Park rangers hold programs most evenings at the amphitheater or Trading Post. There are also a place to wash your dishes and water is available to fill your jugs. Deer has visited my campsite every time I have camped at Desert View.

The campground had clean and well maintained restrooms, level sites, and walking paths to nearby park features especially the historic settlement. Campsite was reasonably quiet and by staying inside the park we were able to enjoy the beautiful sunset and then reach our campsite before dark. There are little to no services in the park so make sure you have what you need for the night.

Beautiful campground with clean restrooms. Historic structures. Thank you for making loops A and B generator free. Also, the pies are awesome.

It was such a quiet and peaceful campground. We had a herd of deer grazing in the sites and views of horses. Loved every minute of it.

Campground was pleasant and well cared for. Campground hosts were friendly and helpul.Unfortunately, the Scenic Drive is closed this season and afternoon thunderstorms limited our hiking opportunities, but overall it was a good visit.

We had a great experience staying at Fruita! Our host had our site clearly marked with our name and date of stay. The facilities were well kept, clean and quiet! We had incredible views of the stars at night! During our one night stay, we hiked up to Cassidy Arch and visited the Gifford House for some delicious Apple Pie!!

Kind camp hosts and nice, wide, spacious camp spots and driveways. Easy to maneuver. Central setting for the park.

Dog poops all over the grassy areas. Hard to find a place to put our lawn chair. Disgusting. The drive up to the gorge is amazing and not to be missed.

Really enjoyed this campground. The sites are paved, wide and level and the restrooms, while in need of updating, seemed clean. It is surrounded by orchards with beautiful rock cliffs in the background

This campground was awesome! It was so beautiful and green and for us the exciting thing was that there were many birds! It is a fly way for migrating birds. Loved the hiking trails from the campground and of course the pie and rolls.

Great campground, got lucky because I tried to get a site for weeks and at the last minute the 3 nites I needed opened
up and I got the site. I wish all sites at national parks were first come first serve as many sites go unused because
many campers don't show up.

The whole park, including the Fruita campground, is such a beautiful place!
The rock formations and landscapes are amazing!!

(Only drawback would be lack of shower facilities.)

I love the park-like environment of Fruita campground. There were a lot of kids running around having the time of their lives, the Gifford house is right there with AMAZING pies and cinnamon rolls, and the canyon walls are spectacular. I also appreciate the camp hosts, who were awesome. We had a camper with five young men pull up next to our trailer - they were drinking and, of course, getting noisy and running their generator after quiet hours. One talk from the host, and all was quiet. Thank you!
