Beautiful red cliffs, the trees showing fall color, the peace and quiet, and also pies. I love this place.

We were planning to use our Generator for breakfast and dinner meals, just to be advised that NO GENERATORS are allowed any time. NOT GOOD. If no generators, let us know in advance.

Nice park, but the dump station needs attention

The campground was in a wonderful setting surrounded by fruit trees. Unfortunately an earlier frost killed off most of the fruit, but the area was quite lovely despite this. The campground host was very helpful and very available if needed. The location of the campground was walking distance to the amphitheater where there were talks twice a day most days. The hiking at the park was beautiful, especially the Hickman natural bridge hike. The campsites were close to each other which could be a problem if you had noisy neighbors, but we did not have that experience. We appreciated that there were both flush toilets as well as an outhouse, and that the water was potable. Overall, we were quite satisfied.

Fruita campground is beautiful with spectacular scenery but I would say its set up for smaller rigs, vans, and/or tents. Host Gary was great, informative and friendly. Our problem was generators arent allowed in the loop we were in and since work remote and rely on electricity for the fridge, we had to cut our trip way short. And the trees were beautiful but unfortunately shaded my solar panels. Reserve something in Loop C if you need to use a generator.

Sites were well spaced. It was a nice quiet campground with lots of shade. This kids loved playing in the Fremont River every evening. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Would stay here again!

We couldn't be happier with a campground. It was perfect! The campground was extremely well maintained, and the campground host were very kind and always available to help. Fruita Campground is a beautiful, unique and an amazing place. Hats off to the National Park Service, the campground host and the workers at the store who all work so hard.

Absolutely loved Capital Reef and the Fruita Campground, mostly for its quiet beauty and undeveloped surroundings (unlike Bryce and Zion). But I don't want to tell too many people or it will get crowded!The campground was a nice size with water and bathrooms close by. There were awesome hiking trails right across the road. And the pie at the Gifford House was a treat!

The camping experience was fantastic. The tent sites are close to each other so you are in close proximity with other campers, but the campground was quiet and everyone there seemed respectful of others and their experience. The bathrooms were very clean the entire time I was there.Overall, the campground was run very well and I would recommend it.

The location is central to the scenic drive and many of the hikes in the park. The sites were uninspired, ranging from grass to mud with a bit of shade or only scorching sun. Camp host was very engaged and the ranger programs were abundant.

Beautiful campground along the river with big cottonwood shade trees. Spaces are all back in but are big and roomy. Long and many double wide. Lots of hiking in the park and a lovely trail along the river

The campground is very quiet and has lots of open space. The adjoining orchards and pasture for the horses and the old barn is great. We really enjoyed the Gifford House cinnamon rolls. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful campground surrounded by mountains and next to pasture with horses. Short walk to river and shop where you could by pies, pastries and gifts.

We really enjoyed the orchards we were able to pick some apples
The deer in the campground were awesome to see, they walked right through our campsite.

Shade trees, flowing river, great range programs (4 per day), fruit trees, homemade pie and cinnamon rolls....what more can you say?????

The website and confirmation emails should communicate that the campground is open 24 hours for arrival at anytime on the date of reservation.
