Excellent Campground! Beautiful spot, great location. We also appreciated the heated bathroom building and Wi-Fi (not expected!).

Beautiful in the cool and uncrowded off-season. And, the pies are amazing! Nice to have generator-free camping loops. The surrounding sandstone cliffs are a glowing backdrop to camping by the soothing Fremont River where mule deer come out of the orchard to drink in the evening. Im grateful for the opportunity to camp here.

Fruita Campground was super nice...so pretty, lots of shade trees, nice and clean bathrooms, really nice campground hosts, very quiet. The pie and cinnamon rolls at Gifford house were delicious; don't miss out on enjoying those! Scenic drive was closed which was disappointing but we knew that beforehand. Highly recommend hiking to Cassidy Arch. It was beautiful! We also enjoyed the Chimney Rock trail, Hickman Bridge and and Cohab Canyon. Don't miss watching the sunset at Sunset Point! Would love to come back when the scenic drive is open to access more trials. Oh, and the ice cream at Color Ridge Farm in Torrey is wonderful as well...especially after a hike on a warm day.

So much great hiking right from camp. Beatifuk grounds. Our Camp Host Joan was outstanding. Super knowledgeable and friendly

It was our first time camping at Fruita Campground and we were so impressed. Spacious camping sites, beautiful views, access to water and a very clean restroom - not an outhouse. We will definitely be returning! Our only regret is that instead of limiting generator hours in the morning and evening that after August we won't be able to camp on loop B locations which is prettier than loop C. No generators will be allowed at all.

Absolutely beautiful campground! The views are perfect, with wildlife walking past your campsite. Restrooms are clean and the park hosts are very helpful.

Really nice campground. Bathrooms were kept clean, and a nice family atmosphere at the campground. Very unique campground with grass and historical buildings close by. Also enjoyed the Ranger talks both evenings we stayed.

Every moment in Capitol Reef is a wonderful moment ... Make sure you get a small, fresh pie at the Gifford house!

Campground was very nice. Bathrooms cleaned, water available and great creek. However, the first come first serve policy was different than any other NPS we have attended. Even if you were there the day before you had to go back to the camp host at 8AMm which meant you would be late to start a hike. NPS should set consistent rules across the parks.

Great hiking, nicely spaced campgrounds, great pies available. Restrooms on the weekend were not clean.

Fruita was beautiful! We fell in love with Capital Reef. We were lucky and had one night with clear skies - our second night we had rain, which was fine for staying cozy in the van with cards:) We enjoyed the River hike in the evening, the orchards were wonderful and then loved seeing the deer wander through camp. So peaceful and beautiful. The pies and cinnamon roles are a MUST. Amazing and the icing on the cake to this lovely oasis. Showers would be a plus - but the bathrooms were immaculate and heated!! Which is lovely at 2 in the morning:) We will be back!

Fruita is one of our favorite campgrounds in a Utah national park.
