Great campground with super helpful volunteer hosts. I was afraid everything would be closed because of the political issuesI was extremely grateful our amazing parks, visitor centers and campgrounds were at least partially functioning. Our parks make a positive difference in peoples lives and present our nation in its best light to the millions of international visitors who come to visit them annually.

Beautiful campground. No cell service, wifi inconsistent. Sad that the fruit trees did not produce fruit this year, otherwise was everything we expected.

Camps are far too close together luckily we got an end tent site. Kids ran out of control after sun went down. Beautiful but could use some improvement.

Fruita campground is so special. Just finished up a 4100 mile, 22 day road trip through 7 national parks and our kids liked Fruita the best, though it might have been the pie. Wide open sites, quiet, beautiful views of the surrounding cliffs, gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, stars. We want to go back soon and stay as long as theyll let us.

Fruita is a wonderful campground!! We really enjoyed the stargazing and Ranger Talk activities. The campground is along a river and has access to the orchards. You can expect to see lots of mule deer and a turkey walking around. Highly recommend Chimney Rock Loop in the morning (we only saw a handful of people on the trail at that time) and Fremont River Trail for a nice (but steep) trail run.

I think the Fruita campground is among the most beautiful Ive seen. The green meadows and orchards make it amazing

It's a beautiful place, well-maintained with clean restrooms, sites are somewhat close together. Capital Reef is not as well-known as some other Utah NPs but we thought it was the best we visited. The campground is a good base for getting to the trails in the morning before the crowds arrive and it gets hot. That said, we were extremely annoyed with noise and commotion. I don't necessarily fault the campground, but at 6pm the generators start up and it's like listening to someone mow their yard for a couple of hours all the time yelling to have a conversation. Also, we had a family group close to us who decided a good activity was to bring saws and hammers and have their children construct wooded chairs creating another din. The campground hosts seemed amused by this - "it keeps the teenagers busy". I don't expect a wilderness experience, but in a closely-spaced campground loud, inconsiderate noise totally degrades the camping. Generators ruin it for everyone, to me this is really selfish behavior. We have solar for our camper, but for those who need a generator it could be appropriate in an RV area but with closely spaced sites in area with tents as well, they should be banned.

Fruits campground is simply magical in its beauty of green set against the red rock of the surrounding canyons. The layout is quite nice and it is a stones throw from the old farmhouse sporting wonderful pies and ice cream. Lovey place. Best possible way to enjoy Capital Reef.
