We were next to an acequia for the orchard, and it was very pleasant to hear the water sounds.

Great low key campground for a national park. Big shout out to Judy the campground host who was very dedicated to taking care of us.

Nice small quiet campground. Didnt use the amenities but they didnt look bad. Take a few short walks and you can see a lot of wildlife.

We were located on site 26 next to the restroom building in loop B. Any site is fine here for the proximity of the campground to Capital Reef, the quality of the campground and the Gifford Houses treats everyday. We attended a couple Park Ranger programs at the amphitheater and would highly recommend doing so. Also the hike right out of the park on Cohab Canyon is well worth the big climb at the beginning. We did a couple other hikes throughout the park. This national park is unappreciated and we loved it!

Landscape very interessanrt. The space between sites is small. Otherwise, the campground is very nice.

The campground was beautiful with majestic views all around. Appreciated that we could walk right over to Gifford House and get our morning cinnamon rolls and pie. So nice to see the mule deer coming to eat the fruit in the orchards every evening. We enjoyed the proximity to driving the Capital Reef scenic road. A great place to stay.

The setting of this campground is charming and beautiful. We happened to obtain a site across from the campground host, Jim. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The campground was very clean and quiet which was remarkable given how full it was. Although small in overall area, we did not feel cramped. We would like to return for another visit.

This is the most magical campground I’ve ever seen…I was using it as an overnight stop on my way to the Grand Canyon, but as I pulled in at sunset with my jaw dropped in awe of the beauty, I knew I had to extend my stay! This place feels like a hidden gem. Most people I talked to at the campsite have been visiting for years. The sites are well maintained, the views are incredible, and the fruit orchards lend a oasis atmosphere in the middle of the desert. The scenic drive beyond the campsite was gorgeous. And if you’re still reading here’s the best part—there’s fresh baked pies for sale every morning on the edge of the property. I mean, come on. I will be back next season for sure!

The campground privides little privacy and the site we had reserved was small.

One good night, one bad day. A thunderstorm drowned our campsite in Loop B on the second day we were there. It might be a good idea to include in the campsite descriptions the possibility that the lower-lying ones may flood with sticky red mud if there's a hard rain. Otherwise, it was a nice visit – beautiful spot, good facilities, quiet campground.

The shade trees were awesome to look at and helped tremendously to keep us cool during the extreme heat. Programs at the amphitheater were very informative and different topics for varying ages young and old. Can’t wait to return to purchase more pies 😁

Great community- no privacy. Friendly neighbors and clean sites.

An oasis in the desert. However, they have overly restrictive rules on generator hours. When it’s 95+ it is extremely uncomfortable.

We loved our stay overall. Campsite host was available when needed, bathrooms were clean, sites had camping essentials. We were there mid-March during a late winter storm so the trees were bare and it snowed heavily one of the days we booked (forcing us to modify plans), but it was still an extremely beautiful site. I’d give it 6 stars if I saw it in the right season with all the green and the fruit and not below freezing weather. We will definitely come back!
