Wonderful campground ! Quiet, clean and right in the park. Nice site, level, will look for one of the bigger sites next time though. Walking path to Gifford House for pies, a MUST do. Will be back

Love Fruita! Such a gift to be able to camp in the park. Great ranger programs. Now if only fellow campers would learn some basic manners and not save 10 seconds by walking RIGHT THROUGH our campsite to get to the bathroom, it'd be perfect!

We were next to an acequia for the orchard, and it was very pleasant to hear the water sounds.

Great low key campground for a national park. Big shout out to Judy the campground host who was very dedicated to taking care of us.

Nice small quiet campground. Didnt use the amenities but they didnt look bad. Take a few short walks and you can see a lot of wildlife.

We were located on site 26 next to the restroom building in loop B. Any site is fine here for the proximity of the campground to Capital Reef, the quality of the campground and the Gifford Houses treats everyday. We attended a couple Park Ranger programs at the amphitheater and would highly recommend doing so. Also the hike right out of the park on Cohab Canyon is well worth the big climb at the beginning. We did a couple other hikes throughout the park. This national park is unappreciated and we loved it!

Landscape very interessanrt. The space between sites is small. Otherwise, the campground is very nice.

The campground was beautiful with majestic views all around. Appreciated that we could walk right over to Gifford House and get our morning cinnamon rolls and pie. So nice to see the mule deer coming to eat the fruit in the orchards every evening. We enjoyed the proximity to driving the Capital Reef scenic road. A great place to stay.

The setting of this campground is charming and beautiful. We happened to obtain a site across from the campground host, Jim. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The campground was very clean and quiet which was remarkable given how full it was. Although small in overall area, we did not feel cramped. We would like to return for another visit.

Absolutely beautiful area! Plenty of shade trees, deer and other wildlife abundant. Great pies at Gifford Homestead from the fruit trees grown in this historic area. Parks and day use areas for dogs. Public bathrooms. Close to Capitol Reef visitor center. * Be aware: THERE IS NO CELL SIGNAL in the campground and day use areas! The closest area is Panorama Point about 2 miles away if you need it. Expect to be completely offline otherwise when visiting the rest of the park.Sites are pretty tight. But its a pleasant campground with bathrooms, flush toilets, and potable water.NO SHOWERS. A lovely place, I look forward to returning.

Campground was exceedingly crowded. Too use to camping where others are not. Place was clean and the hosts were friendly.

When we first got there I was a little skeptical because I had no service, but it was exactly what I needed. The views were beautiful and the little stream was so refreshing. My dog played in the stream for awhile as it was on the hotter end. The wildlife are not afraid to come up to your camp site either. The bathroom was clean as well as the water fountain area.

From the clean bathrooms to the views this campground is hard to beat. Many sites went empty even though they were reserved. Shame.

Very nice campground, clean facilities. Camp Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the scenic drive through the Park, the orchards, and River. We hiked a couple of the easier trails. Would recommend taking advantage of the fresh baked pies in the store! They were delicious. Highly recommend this campground.

This is the most magical campground Ive ever seenI was using it as an overnight stop on my way to the Grand Canyon, but as I pulled in at sunset with my jaw dropped in awe of the beauty, I knew I had to extend my stay! This place feels like a hidden gem. Most people I talked to at the campsite have been visiting for years. The sites are well maintained, the views are incredible, and the fruit orchards lend a oasis atmosphere in the middle of the desert. The scenic drive beyond the campsite was gorgeous. And if youre still reading heres the best parttheres fresh baked pies for sale every morning on the edge of the property. I mean, come on. I will be back next season for sure!

The campground privides little privacy and the site we had reserved was small.

One good night, one bad day. A thunderstorm drowned our campsite in Loop B on the second day we were there. It might be a good idea to include in the campsite descriptions the possibility that the lower-lying ones may flood with sticky red mud if there's a hard rain. Otherwise, it was a nice visit – beautiful spot, good facilities, quiet campground.

The shade trees were awesome to look at and helped tremendously to keep us cool during the extreme heat. Programs at the amphitheater were very informative and different topics for varying ages young and old. Can’t wait to return to purchase more pies 😁
