Always a good stay.

Fantastic campsite. Heated bathrooms, bathrooms are next to campsite, bathrooms have plugs and are neat and clean. View is perfection : directly next to host and in full view of horses, fence, and of course the deer and birds that wander. No shade. FRUITA NOW HAD WIFI so doesn't matter if no cell service. The wifi works perfectly and reached the site.

Easy checkin and standard amenities (no shower in the bathroom though!). Also right next to the Gifford house for some breakfast pie :)

Stayed here last week in December and even in mid winter it was great. Facilities on site were also very clean and had heaters in them. Very convenient right along the main scenic drive. Will stay here again.

Great place to camp. Right in the park. Had hookups and nice bath house. Was quiet. Will come back to stay here again.

Lovely fall visit.Bit of a hassle to return to visitor center to use Wi-Fi to reserve/register.

One of the most beautiful campgrounds we've ever stayed in!

It is amazing how busy Capital Reef has become to be in only a few years. There is not enough parking space at popular hikes like Hickman's bridge and Grand Wash so be early. The same counts for the scenic drive. But the park itself is stunning, as always.

Great quiet dark camping.

Wonderful Campground! Plus, fresh baked pies and cinnamon rolls just steps away at Historic Gifford House. Dont miss the Cohab Canyon hike that starts across from the campground. Sunset Point is great in the late afternoon or an hour before sunset. Also the Scenic Drive & Capitol Gorge are not to be missed.

Very scenic campground, well situated for exploring Capitol Reef.

Beautiful scenery and very well maintained campground. The host was excellent and very friendly. While we were there a major thunderstorm passed through and flooded parts of the campground. The host did a great job of relocating some of the campers to different site that were not flooded

Nice campground, clean bathrooms, friendly campground hosts. Close to store with very yummy cinnamon rolls and pies. Not any privacy between sites. No water or electric hookups. There was a dump station and potable water. Night skies and the night skies talk were fantastic. There is a dish washing sink by the restrooms. No showers. No cell service with Verizon.

Special place! Great shade, right next to the river, easy trail access. Bathrooms maintained and very clean. Trail access right from the campground. Quiet hours were observed by all, so sleeping was actually good even with a full campground.
@JoelO657 · Camped on Oct 31, 2021 at Campsite #5
The campsites are nicely spaced, and most have shade. The restrooms are clean and well maintained. The scenic drive and the view from Sunset point are must-see activities.

Beautiful place to camp. I would have given a five star review, but one of our neighbors had a really loud generator and they ran it whenever it was permitted. Everything else was perfect.

Quiet and clean with level campsites

Wished our site had more shade. Enjoyed the sink at the bathroom.

The camp host (Don) was way over the top watching us for violating the rules. Too close for people on vacation. Generator times are too restrictive. When is soooo hot, time in the afternoon for meal prep and until the sun sets would help. I did catch some small trout in the Fremont river near the amphitheater.

Beautiful setting..nice..well maintained campground..Capitol Reef NP beautiful
Only thing...half the campsites the picnic table and fire ring on the wrong side of the campsite do not really useable..can't move the tables as they are chained

Two super-duper campground host teams on the site. Very outgoing, knowledgeable and accommodating. The campground is in walking distance to the store that sells bake goods and pies, but be there when they open.
