Overall, an awesome place for Pies with nearby camping! A and B loops were better served with newer clean bathrooms and WiFi; C loop, not so much. Still a great experience with beautiful scenery and great hikes

The campground was very clean and well maintained. It was great to be in walking distance to a few great hikes! We did 15 miles by connecting all the trails near the campground. Super convenient since we have a rooftop tent and did not want to move our vehicle. Loved watching the stars at night: short walk to an area not shaded by trees.

We loved Fruita campground and hope to return again! Riding our bikes to Gifford House to enjoy AMAZING apple pie and cinnamon rolls is a memory that my family will never forget. The location to the visitor center and hiking trails was ideal!

Hands down the best campground in Utah. So many great hikes, ranked from easy to difficult, short to long, flat to steep-whatever you want. Potable water, flush toilets and outdoor sink to rinse dishes. Shade in the summer and open skies in the fall. Apples for picking and deer for entertainment. And the most spectacular scenery you could imagine-a little bit Zion, a little bit Arches and a little bit Canyonlands.

I’m not one to write reviews, even if something is awful. However, YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST STAY HERE! It is an absolute dream - the views are breathtaking, the drive in is incredible, the orchards add adorable charm, including the mule deer (don’t forget to stay back and let them do their thing!), there’s a little shop with the best hand pies you’ll ever have, it’s clean and there’s some great hikes right from the campground. All around you feel like you’re in a little oasis and it’s incredible. We will most certainly return!

PS - you likely will have no cell service, but that just makes it all the better :)

What a great campground! I got there late afternoon and as soon as I backed into my campsite, I saw Bucks grazing. I locked the rig, took my camera and started walking toward them. They moved toward the orchard and started eating the apples on the ground. I counted at least 5 bucks and 2 fawns. It was amazing! I loved staying overnight because I couldn't see all that I wanted to that day. Capitol Reef was my favorite National Park - out of Bryce, Arches, Canyonlands and Capitol Reef. I'll be back!

Very nice campground. Shade was welcome after visiting the Capitol Reef. We loved buying the pies and riding bikes around the area.

Fruita is an incredible campground! Quiet, beautiful and a dark park, so the stars are amazing! No showers, but you can find them in Torrey. Great local places for food and supplies. Be sure to do the scenic drive right next to the campground, as it really gives you the lay of the land. Will definitely stay at Fruita again!

Beautiful campground, big sites. The trail along the river is gorgeous, too.
