Clean campground, friendly staff, amazing views, and cool history. Not much more you can ask for in a National Park!

Beautiful campground, hosts were very helpful however. We were under the assumption that we would not need reservations after Nov 1 but we found out that the policy was changed 2 weeks prior to our arrival. We were not the only campers who were inconvenienced but the sudden change in policy. Also, we go camping to enjoy peace and quiet. For 2 days straight there was a NPS employee running a gas-powered leaf blower in our campground from 10 am until 3pm. Come on! it's a campground not a country club. Other than that we had a great time there.

The campsite was wonderful. Would have liked to have showers there, too.

Definitely worth a stay - but check in advance to see if generators are allowed in the loop you're choosing. Restrooms were very spacious and super clean. Big trees with big shade.

Beautiful campground. The campground was well shaded, facilities were clean (running toilets and sinks) and fun things to do within walking distance - Gifford House and trails. Only negative would be the people near us. Quiet hours are 10pm - 6am, but "respect other campers by keeping noise and night lighting to a minimum at all times" - they had the kids loudly running around the whole campground until 10pm and kicked on their generator around 10:30pm to run it for about 45-60 minutes in a 'no generator loop' we were in Loop 'B' they were in Loop 'A' > generator loop is 'C' (I do my best to choose a site far away from the generator loop). We did get to see many deer walking through the sites in the evening and morning though!

Nice campground. Enjoyed the store with the fresh pies and goodies. One negative is that there are no hookups and you cant run a generator. Not good when it is hot out.

Love this campground! The bathrooms are always clean and the campground is so peaceful with all the big cottonwood trees and the deer roaming about. Its nice to be able to walk to the Gifford House to get pie and ice cream.

Nice located campground with trees and orchards. The Gifford museum and giftshop sells nice bakery products. Just behind the campground starts the scenic drive of the park with excellent views of the Waterpocket fold.

I did not realize the A and B loops did not have permission to use Generators., only the 'C', next time I will do a better job reading the parameters. Other then that and the cold winds, every was great.

I had an enjoyable time in Loop B (Loop C looked like it had less shade) and loved watching the many children run around and play throughout the campground. The generators can be very loud and one night I left and went to Torrey to escape the noise (6-8pm). Bathrooms are pretty standard for a NPS campground. There is a water bottle filling station and a sink to dispose of your dish-water. Loop B had lots of shade and there were some great sites near the river. Lots of signs warning about mountain lion sightings (not surprising when you see how many deer there are nearby). The Gifford house store was cute and is next to the campground - I did not go in the morning to buy pastry since it sounded a little too intense (people are apparently very competitive about getting their pie!). The amphitheater is a couple of mins away and has ranger talks. I think the walk to the visitor center was 2 miles one-way. The parking lot at the visitor center is small and fills up quickly. Overall this is a good campground and I would return.

Very comfortable sites and the area is convenient for viewing many geological wonders.

We stayed at this campground for 3 nights. It was a beautiful experience. The campsites were wide open spaces under lot of big trees in the orchard, so there was plenty of shade. The only issue is with understanding your site's boundary vis-à-vis your neighbor's since there are no clear markers. But we all adjust and accommodate. The orchards were closed during our stay, else you can go in and pick up fruits. There are two river access points from the campground. There is no cellphone reception but you get free wireless at the visitor center a mile away. You'll also get some signal from some high points within the park. The bathrooms were clean, had soap and tissues, as well as electrical outlets. There was a gray water disposal sink with each restroom where you can wash dishes. Overall, a great experience!

Very clean campground and restrooms. Generator hours of use are enforced. Fantastic trails.

Tent campers choose wisely. Some sites are so close together that there is little room to pitch your tent. The sites closest to the Freemont River in the A & B loops are best for tent camping (cannot speak to C loop). They are grassy and more spacious. Sites become packed more tightly as you move toward the campground entrance and the grass turns to dirt which becomes a muddy mess after a rain.
