Amazing staff at the park. Trails and campsite were well maintained. Loved every minute if our time at Capitol Reef.

The park was beautiful and the camp host was very helpful. They water the camping area so areas that have no grass are muddy. Also our site was on a slope so there was limited space to put a tent. I don't recommend site B41 if you have a tent.

Beautiful park, nice campground. The apple trees were full of great tasting apples and easy picking. There were mule deer, many large bucks, everywhere. Some hiking trails started close to the campground and the hiking/scenery was awesome! One of nicest national parks I have been to, and I had never heard of it before planning this trip.

My campsite had some trees for shade. Other campers were quiet at night. There was running water in the bathroom, and several hiking trails within walking distance of the campsite
Beautiful views! Restrooms were very clean; quiet campground. Not your place if you want showers or you need even terrain and grass and shade.

This is a beautiful place, and a nice campground. Unfortunately the site I stayed in was on a slope, which meant that my chair, and tent were on a slant. I spent quite a bit of time at another family members site which was flat, and had a wonderful view of the red cliffs. I love it here.
Six of us were on a 2 week travel trailer trip to National Parks, we voted Fruita as our favorite stay!

We had a wonderful time at Fruita! The campground was quiet and the accommodations wonderful, flush toilets and running water in the bathrooms, asphalt parking pads, and access to hikes. The ranger talks were close to the campground and very interesting.

The campground is in a beautiful setting, the sites are nicely spaced, the restrooms are clean and warm (in cold weather), and there are multiple hikes/walks that you can take from the campground itself. Lots of deer, too!

Basic campground setting. What is great (if your lucky to land a spot) is that you have several hikes close by to explore the park! Deer roam around the Fruita district along with the Yellow Belly Marmots!

This campground was a true delight. Great facilities, and Park staff that were completely helpful with practical site info and a really wonderful evening fire side presentation on the local animals and their environment. Well be back!!

Capitol Reef was one of my favorite parks. Be sure to venture down one of the many trails in this park. Also try to drive down one or both sides of the water pocket fold. Such beautiful sites.

Beautiful space, well very kept, kind accommodating rangers. Loved having our name written on the post at our site when we arrived.

Our family had a wonderful time at Capitol Reef National Park. The Fruita camp ground is the best of our more than ten years of tent camping experience. All the lots in the campground are large, and most sites are under large trees. The entire campground is right next to the red/orange cliffs and one of the best hiking trails within the park. We got to pick and eat the ripe apricots next to the campground. This is in July. At different times of the year, you get to have other types of fruits as well.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
