The campground was great. Internet was available only in part of the campground. The "back shop" close by was great!

Lovely site, outstanding views along the nearby Scenic Drive, quiet campground and clean washrooms (with electricity for hair dryers). Our only disappointment was that we came a week too early for the homemade pies, which we LOVE!

The Fruita campground is very well designed with excellent spacing of sites, especially in loops A and B. The access to potable water and a dump station is convenient (remember to pack your thief for access to non potable water) at the campground entrance. The bathrooms are well maintained and cleaned regularly with flush toilets, running water lavatories, and specific lavatories for washing dishes. All roads in the campground are paved, and all sites are level (side-to-side, manageable slope front-to-back) with asphalt pads. The Gifford Homestead is certainly worth a visit, especially to purchase one of their delicious fruit pies. The area within a 30 minute drive from the campground has numerous excellent hiking trails. Our favorites include the Grand Wash (recommend doing as a shuttle hike from Grand Wash to Cassidy Arch to Frying Pan Trail to Cohab Canyon Trail finishing at the Fruita campground - about 8.5 beautiful miles), Sheets Gulch Trail (excellent example of a slot canyon), Navajo Knobs Trail (escape the crowds going to Hickman Bridge Arch and get an excellent view of arch from above), and Cottonwood Wash Trail. Make sure you include an afternoon with the Ranger at the Amphitheater to hear about the geology of the area and continue up the Fremont River Trail to get a high-spot view of the campground and surrounding environs.

Easy in and out and great pie and cinnamon rolls at Giffords. Enjoyed two hikes right from the camp site and the scenic drive. Would stay there again. We were in site 28, loop B with no hookups.

The place is peaceful, with beautiful surrounding. Ranger evening programs are interesting. Really a good place to stay for one or several nights. We loved it.

This campground was amazing!! The sound of the river and the beautiful night sky put me right to sleep. It was so relaxing. Make sure if you want to have a fire, check in before 4 p.m. as the Gifford House is closed. Otherwise bring your own wood. Bathrooms were nice and clean.

An awesome surprise. Gorgeous location amidst the fruit trees. Spacious campsites although backwards compared to others meaning that the fire pit and picnic table were on the same side as the utilities (opposite side of the travel trailer door).

This is a hidden gem. I say hidden because I hear many people skip over this park. This campground was clean, organized, easy to get to, clean bathrooms, easy parking. You look around and everyone is just relaxing. Great vibe here.

We love this campground. We have only been able to stay for one night on the two previous visits. This time I was able to book for 2 nights, 6 months in advance. It enabled us to relax and enjoy just being in the park. We rode our mountain bikes to the start of the Grand Wash hike, hiked the wash and returned to our campsite to enjoy the afternoon/evening watching the deer and going to the ranger talk. We always get the little pies, vanilla ice cream and now the cinnamon rolls!

This campground was very clean and well kept. The baked goods from the nearby store were a huge hit. We would certainly return!

We really loved the location and beauty of the campground. The only annoying thing was the amount of super loud obnoxious generators!

Nice big site. Warm restrooms were a welcome surprise. Attended a Geology Ranger Talk which was excellent. The whole area is beautiful so just getting out anywhere on the trails and roads is rewarding.
