Campground was wonderful. Love the trees and the lush grass. We were in loop C and the campers were not to close. There needs to be work done for the potable water and dump station in Loop A. There were no directions given when we checked in or received in the email that we would need to fill with water in Loop A. We went into loop C and had to ask another camper where to fill water. When we went to loop A, the end of the hose was missing so there was no way to put water into our tank. The hydrant had a bag over it and was not usable. We were able to suction water by running the potable water into a bucket and then suction into our tank. This took over 1/2 hr to get a half of tank of water. We mentioned this to both the ranger and the host. They said maintenance would get it fixed; however, when maintenance stopped over there, they just took off the bag from the hydrant and never fixed the potable water hose. We were there 3 days, and it was never fixed. Also, not part of the campground, but there was no mention of the main road being closed for the whole summer season when we booked our stay. This information should be shared.

Excellent campground with spacious sites. Campground host was very helpful and the PIE is to die for! Good thing there are hiking trails accessible from the campground to work off that pie!

The campground is terrific, the setting brought pleasure...how about 10pm-10am on the generators?

Quiet and clean campground with easy access to trails. An added bonus was picking and eating the apples in the Orchard with Mule Deer for company. LOVED our time at Fruita Campground.

We enjoyed our stay at Fruita Campground which is well maintained including clean restrooms. There’s plenty to do with a variety of hikes for different ability levels. The hosts were available but not intrusive. Other campers were friendly and courteous.
