Great site, it's a fenced off, grassy area with 4 other tent sites. You can't drive your car directly up to the site, but the parking spot is less than 50 ft away. This site has a nice big tree you can put your tent under. When we visited the racoons were very active, so keep your food locked up.

Beautiful site and location. To many unused camp sites. No ability to trade camp sites. Families are loosing our on opportunities to experience Capital Reef.Also the park needs additional camp sites

Beautiful campground with cute deer running around. Other guests were mainly quiet overnight, which was a bonus.

Tent-only sites all in very large open area with several big trees for shade. Restrooms and pit toilet not far away. WiFi only in small location near sites and around visitor center entrance.

Great campsite! We had a little confusion with having two sites reserved -- turns out the sites have to be listed under separate names even if reserved on the same account -- but the camp host was super helpful in getting that worked out. The space was great, and it was awesome to have running water!

What an unexpected gem!
We loved the facilities and were totally taken by the history and backstory of the orchard community. We’ve sung your praises ever since we’ve left Capitol Reef and Fruita.

First time to visit the park. I would camp here again. Try the pies from the Gifford House but get there early since they sell out daily.

We loved staying here! We came just in time for Pi Day at the Gifford house and loved it. Clean restrooms and enjoyed having access to potable water nearby. We will be staying again(hopefully when the fruit trees are in season)

We always have a lovely time here. The campsite host was extremely friendly and helpful. Campground was beautiful and clean and quiet. Will definitely be back again.

Beautiful campground. Tent camping areas are decently spread apart and have good tables, fire pits, and grill. Bathrooms were good and slightly warm which was helpful in the cold. Beautiful setting between the rocks near the Gifford House

What can I say, beautiful. Showers would be nice but let’s face it half of the campers already have showers. Beautiful views in every direction. Hope to be back soon.

Beautiful campground (green orchard in the midst of red rock cliffs). Lots of nearby hikes. And homemade cinnamon rolls and fruit pies!

We loved staying at Fruita Campground. It was beautiful! We loved the fact that we could hike from the campground. It was clean and in a central location. We would definitely stay there again.
