Campsites are very clean, well-shaded, and small. This campground was definitely built for trailers and RVs, but there is just enough room for a tent at most sites. Bathrooms are in acceptable condition, though the toilets and urinals are showing their age. Nice sink with potable water for dishes, and incredible access to the most family-friendly hikes in the park. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing campground and campsite!! We stayed in site 65 and it was beautiful and private. Close to the amphitheater and bathroom but not so close that there was any noise or foot traffic. We were visited by mule deer and walked over to see the horses. We arrived at Gifford House at 8:40am and were first in line for still-warm pies and cinnamon rolls!!

This campground is a magical oasis in the desert! Do not miss the pies and cinnamon rolls in the historic homestead.

We enjoyed our stay in the Fruita campground. My only feedback is that the restrooms were not open in the C loop where we were staying.

Great location and staff. New reservation only system an absolute disaster. Not everyone travels on an itinerary. Some of us prefer the Fist come/first serve option. At least some (1/3-1/2) needs to remain FF. We used to be able to arrive and find a suitable spot and decide how long to stay, up to the 14 days. Now with reservations required its hard to find a place to stay the 14 days, someone has often booked a single day, or weekend for every site. This needs to change.

Campsite was marked with our reservation. Bathrooms were pretty clean. Dan, the campground host was a very friendly and nice person. He greeted us the evening that we arrived. And I could tell immediately that he had a gentle, friendly spirit. He was truly interested in us having a good experience in the campground. Weather was perfect - thank you Lord!. Loved the cinnamon rolls from the Gifford House. Our only concern was the sticky leaf bud scales that fell off of the cottonwood trees. They were awful. The sticky stuff could be used for construction glue. I swept off the area near our trailer 3-5 times a day to minimize the stuff getting tracked into our camper. We were not able to use the picnic table because we could not get the stuff adequately cleaned off the table or benches. I would recommend an afternoon power wash of the tables affected by this nuisance.

Quite, small campground. Had deer sniffing at the tent in the morning. One of our favorite campgrounds in Utah. The park in really in the middle of nowhere. No concessions. Make sure that you have plenty of food, water and ice before arriving at the park.

Great, quiet campground close to the pies! The amphitheater is also a short walk. The ranger programs were great.

C loop bathroom is closed for rennovation. The cmpground is pretty flat and connected. Any site facing the outside is better from my perspective. We had 65 and it was good. 29, 30, 10, 68 might be the best if you are looking for a spot on the edge. 64 is right near the closed bathroom and trail to the ampitheater. I wouldn't like it much. But great location in general.

Beautiful view of the apple orchards. One of the more quiet sites in the campground yet not far from the water and restrooms. Loop C seemed less crowded than loop A & B.

Campsite has plenty of space, its open to you can see your neighbors, orchid is nearby and you can easily spot wildlife. They had a ranger presentation during my stay and that was very informative/interesting. Hiking trails are nearby. Beautiful campsite in general.

Beautiful campground, close to many trails. We stayed in Loop C and loved the deer and mountain views. Easy to fill up water tanks at entry to loops A/B and use the dump station.

Hiking out of campground was excellent. The apple pie and cinnamon rolls were phenomenal.
