Had a wonderful night's stay at Fruita. Enjoyed the deer pasturing in the fields at sunset and the pie and cinnamon buns at the Fruita Store!

This was a wonderful place to stay. The Gifford House opened the day after we arrived. Thay was a delicious delightful surprise. The backdrop is the perfect setting for camping. We can't wait to come visit again.

Renegade 38ft, early November 2024 - the Fruita CG was absolutely beautiful including the drive in. The orchards & buildings with the surroundings are gorgeous. That being said, we loved a one night stay BUT 2 gen hours in the morning & 2 hrs in the evening leave our batteries lacking. We are ADA and tried the ADA site but electrical box is locked and marked Medical Devices Only. If we were to do it again, wed do a one nighter and move on.Capitol Reef NP 2024- Fruita CG is located on the Scenic Road thru the NP. However, just past the CG, the Scenic Road is closed for 2024. The visitor center parking lot is under construction. The Chimney trailhead parking is closed due to construction. We talked to a ranger on how to see Capitol Reef. Basically, a 4-8 hour backtrack out of the park on back roadssome 4X4. Therefore, I wouldnt spend a lot of time here, personally. Obviously, the admin has a Spend it Or Loose it for 2024 approach. Zero cell service - Starlink 100mbs We camped at Fruita Campground in a Motorhome.

Visited here in October 2024, site 67 in C loop. Wonderful campground and site. Deers walking around everywhere and anytime. No cellphone service. We recommend this site and campground. Family with 2 children, 11 and 8 years old.

Our travel trailer (30ft trailer, 20ft truck) fit nicely into the site. There was shade, which was awesome, but that limited solar production and I had to run the generator three days to recharge batteries because of cloudy conditions and rain! This campground is amazing! The camp host Bubba was amazing. The pies and cinnamon rolls were amazing. The hiking was great!. This site was next to a field, so no one was behind you, and the irrigation for the fruit trees ran all the time, which would lull you to sleep at night, much like a running stream and drowned out your noisy neighbors during the day. The stars were also amazing! Finally there was limited generator usage in loop C, two hours in the morning and two in the evening, but someone always had to be reminded because they did not read the rules. There was the national park rangers that also made their rounds, so you felt safe and secure. The sites were currently sealed or paved, but there was no effort to level them. Every campsite with a trailer or van had to do some leveling. This site is low on the drivers side.

Campground clean and quiet. Bathroom facilities ok. Water taps not on yet outside except at dump station. Dump station left much to be desired. Not able to connect hose for flush out. Lid to sewer drain broken. Only one drain, long line waiting.

Great National Park. Not as many people as some of the bigger parks but still gorgeous and lots of fantastic hikes.

We loved our time at Fruita Campground in Capitol Reef National Park! The campsites were spacious, and we loved being near the fruit orchards. Next time we hope to visit when the trees are all in blossom. We loved all the hikes we were able to take. The views are all amazing!

Scenic location among the fruit orchards and next to a cute gift shop / bakery. Would be good for families. Also a nice jumping off point for many hikes which are only a short drive away
