Great time and the staff is fist rate and the Volunteer was top notch. Only issue park compressor for air was not available during the day.

Our stay is always excellent. We've been traveling to Long Point and Great Island Cabins for nearly 10 years, and it's the highlight of every summer!

Our cabin (4) had many missing or torn window screens so we were unable to use those windows as we didn't want to deal with flies coming in. Some of the screens were attached only with tape which obviously did not hold up to the elements. The porch screens are installed on the inside of the porch so there was no window ledge available to sit things on. Also there was no water hose at the vehicle wash down area. Other than that our stay was great. Some of us have been coming here for 30+ years and we always have a wonderful time.

We took our toddler here as her first trip to the beach, and we had a wonderful time! The shells, sand, and a kite kept her busy for hours. There's a great swimming area down by the dock at the lighthouse. She could actually spend time in the water here, as the ocean was a little rough. The accomodations were as suspected. We did just fine without a generator, and just brought along a cooler, a fan, and a lantern for 3 days/2 nights. A beautiful time!

Cabins clean, screens not damaged. Plenty of chairs & 2 tables made it convenient. Only complaint was hot water heater. On demand hot water was ridiculous. Took too long to get hot water & then no way to adjust it. Either far too hot for short periods or turned cold instantly if u tried to adjust it at all.

Our cabin was wonderful even though the weather was cold for a few days. Exploring the island is also a neat thing to do. Loved it and will be back in September.
