Cabin 8 was great, this was my first visit to the Island and it was amazing. Definitely will be back for a longer stay to allow more time to fish and enjoy the island more. Perfect weather in March!

Enjoyed so much! Had decent weather, cabins were great! Volunteers/NPS were great-thank you! Nature at its best-pure solitude!

Always a great trip to the Great Island. Fishing we hit and miss and the weather a little rough but overall a good time.

I appreciate the efforts NPS puts into CALO. The thing I really miss out there is when they had the old light in the lighthouse. It would really light up your tent at night.

It was nice to see some maintenance had been done on the cabins. Great place and lots of memories.

Great cabin! As long as you understand that it is rustic this place was perfect. Large driveway in the back and privacy because (unfortunately) cabins 9+10 were demolished in a storm.Located away from vehicle entry points.Screen porch door opens up toward the ocean which made stepping out feel more secluded.Great stay!(Weve stayed in five different cabins and this was a favorite)

Find a hole to fish when tide is low. Visit the lighthouse. Get up early to see the sunrise. My wife and I are looking forward to going back.

Cabin was ready on time and everything functioned as advertised. The water heater was much imroved over past years so it was nice to have a decent shower after a day on the beach.

Our cabin was ready when we arrived at the island. It was clean and everything operated as expected. We have tent camped on the island before, but after getting swamped by high tides following an unexpected storm we felt more comfortable in the cabin. One thing that would have improved our visit would have been if we had discovered the outdoor spigot sooner so we could have avoided tracking as much sand onto the porch. Our next trip will include a garden hose to make better use of that feature. We purchased ice and fuel when on the island when needed. We were disappointed that the lighthouse wasn't open, but the lighthouse keepers house was informative and interesting.

Cabin was in good shape with noticeable improvements, such as new screen door and latches. It was great as the oven and stove top had been replaced recently. Oven didn't work great but did work if lit by hand.

Had a great time at the island. Would have had a 5 star rating but the igniters on the stove top and the oven didn’t work. Have been going for 15 years and Lord willing I will be back again next year.

The cabin was in good condition. Brought a generator to have electricity. The heater and stove worked fine. Watch out for the horseflies. Loved having the beach so close. Would like to stay again in the future!

For the price charged I think the cabins need to be upgraded with power be it solar or some other source.Seems like the southern end of island is receiving the bulk of the funds.

It was good to return to the rustic cabins I had missed for years. A wonderful experience.

Great time fishing, looking for shells, driving on the beach, and watching the kids play. Only issue was the oven not lighting.
