Just what we needed. Staff has always been amazing. Cabins are a good price for what you get. This year there are an abundance of paper wasp both tent camping and cabins. But we have stayed here on the island 90 days this year between the whole group and not one of us has been stung. We are done for the season but will be back next year

Cabins are nice and staff was excellent. Beaches are better than most places.

Cabin size is decent, it would be good if they provide a small microwave.

We were supposed to tent camp but due to the weather, we ended up renting a cabin. We thoroughly enjoyed the location and ambiance of staying in a cabin on the dunes. The volunteers were great and very helpful. We will be back!

The most beautiful place on earth! Great fishing and great friends make Cape Lookout my favorite destination place.

Wonderful edge of the ocean experience. Rustic cabins provided good shelter, but did not meet our expectations for cleanliness or maintenance. The NPS is letting the camp run down. Some of the structures (e.g. bath house, canoe dock) are in ruins. Significant deterioration since our last visit five years ago. Kitchen was dirty. Disappointing for historic camp in such a beautiful location. We enjoyed ourselves nonetheless but worry about the future of the facility.

Cabins are adequate for their intended purpose. With that said we had no hot water. Not a big deal but hot showers are nice after a long day of fishing in November

Great stay. Wish the fish were biting.

We really enjoyed our time on Cape Lookout. The cabins had hot water and a stove. Thank you for providing the opportunity to experience this unique part of creation.

Always enjoy "roughing" it a little with some friends. Accommodations are adequate.

It was a good place to get out of the weather. It would have been nice to have power

Has been a few years since staying in a cabin. They were very clean and a whole lot better than before

The most beautiful place on the East coast.

Our family does this every summer and itโ€™s the most magical special week of our year. We love the quiet, peaceful atmosphere, the primitive minimalism, and the excuse to slow down and enjoy spending time together. We love lazing in the sound, digging for clams, playing uno by lantern light. I hope these cabins will be available forever. They are our favorite special place.

First time renting the cabin, Cabin was as expected based on website description. Ferry service and "greeters" were exceptional. Friendly and informative. My 3 experiences with the park attendant at check-in and ice purchase were less then desirable. Attendant was short with answers and not that inviting. I dismiss bad experiences as a one off but for this to happen 3 times is unexceptionable. Another member of my party had the same experience. Besides that the cabin and visit was fantastic. I've dealt with many Parks workers and this was the worse.

The cabins are definitely better than a tent in the wind! We enjoyed the stay, cabins could use a little TLC.
