The Oregon Inlet Campground is close to friends that I enjoy fishing with. I chose the electric and water available sites. The site was fairly level. Except for the 30 mile an hour winds blowing the camper the campground was quiet.

No sewer hook ups and unbelievably no bathhouse. They have showers with a three-quarter door in it and a pull string that brings the water down on you. Not very handicap accessible. You have to walk over the grass and up a hill to get to the bath rooms. In September the grass was at least 10 inches tall. I know it was close to the end of the season, but if the campground is open, it should be maintained. I was sorely disappointed.!

Nice campground. Convenient to the beach and sites in the Outer Banks. Sites are large enough but not real spread out. Be prepared for pretty much constant wind.

I wanted to give one star so people would stay away from our favorite CG, but I can't really do that. We've stayed here many, many times before and never been disappointed. Bring your own shade, bring bug spray and sunscreen, expect bugs if there's not enough wind to keep them down. Remember you're camping in the sand on the beach, and don't go barefoot until you're actually ON the beach. The sand-spurs WILL get you if you don't.

Beach was just over the dunes. Was blustery and cool for our first night but warmed the next day. Cell service was pretty good. Showers were outdoor shower enclosures next to the restrooms. Really convenient location to enjoy beach, see lighthouses, Wright Bros. Memorial and other local fun stuff.

We regret that there was no park employe, we could not ask questions about fishing permits. It is incredible that cars and trucks (noisy) are allowed on these beautiful beaches in front of the camping

Several campsites had no-shows. Would like those sites be put back into the system.

The campground is set up well. Sites are fairly close together, but that didnt take away from the rustic charm of the location. The bathhouses and bathrooms are well maintained and the hot showers areal plus for October camping. The area is stunningly beautiful and if you enjoy nature and exploring, its a wonderful destination.

Nice quiet campground. Nice size lots with plenty of space in between. Did not use bathroom/shower facilities so cant comment on that. Will definitely go back.

Check in was a little confusing (thanks COVID), but once we figured out what to do - it was an absolute breeze. Campground was remarkable - clean, clearly marked, and well maintained. The pedestals were such a luxury with multiple amperage plugs and water with great pressure. First time staying at an NPS campground and could not have been better!

The showers were warm and there were plenty of them. The bathrooms were clean. It was a nice quiet park to stay in. We loved it!!

Just a short walk over the dune and you are on a magnificent beach on the Atlantic Ocean! Campground is centrally located close to middle of the island giving easy access to all activities and sights available throughout.

Very nice camping area. USPS Crew was very nice and informative. Wish the reservation web site was better/more user friendly.

The ranger was super friendly and great to talk with. For our first trip with our new travel trailer, we had not problems backing into our site. The sites are a touch narrow, but there is plenty of space between each one. 5 min walk to the beech. Overall, we had a great time. This was our thrid visit to this campground. The first two times we were tent camping. Will ceratinly be coming back.

Everything about the campsite was excellent and as expected. The campground is 15 minutes away from civilization so its easy to get takeout get supplies. The only negative is the beach access caters to 4x4 vehicles driving onto the beach. Getting from the campground to the beach with a family and stuff without a 4x4 is no small feat. A beach cart is no match for the soft deep sand, sand dune mountain range, and vehicle ruts that must be crossed. We did it, and we will do it again next year but its not for the feint of heart.
