Great location! Spacious sites. Access to the beach. All for a tiny fraction of the cost of a beach cottage! Bathrooms and showers were nice and clean. Thank our rangers, who are doing a great job!

The beach is our favorite place to be so for this fact alone we enjoyed our stay. There are a couple of things to keep in mindnot negatives to all but definitely worth being aware of. First it is a long way through very soft sand to get to the water! Second - you may not experience this but we were constantly bothered by pesky biting flies whenever we stepped out of the camper.even on the beach! I dont recall this happening anywhere else all along the outer banks except here? Other than that we had a great time.

Two issues: 1) flooded campsites at 1 of rain affecting electrical & 2) location of dump station across highway where a new restaurant has been built, further creating a difficult route to the dump station parking lot has huge 4x4 pickup trucks extending into the access road. Big RVs will be more challenged with potential collisions.

Several electrical boxes need replacing & fixing. During recent rains, pooling & flooding, electricity was intermittent, on & off all night. While at site 43B the fuse blew & my electric plug was burned very dangerous & I had to change sites. Host Larry was very helpful while off duty.

Camp Ground was almost full when I arrived. Sites were laid out so it didnt feel crowed and you werent looking in your neighbors windows. The place was clean and well maintained, however I did not use the bath houses etc.Camp Ground was closed one day as an approaching tropical storm was coming! They gave at least a days notice with explanations. Good call on their part as an rv or tent is no place to be sitting on the ocean with predictions of high wind and storm surge. Plus the only way off island is across long open bridges over large open bodies of water. I will return this fall if I can fit it in schedule! Thanks to the NPS staff for all they do to make these places nice clean and safe

We stayed at Oregon Inlet Campground in mid December. The pad was level, had 30 amp power and the freshest tasting water. The beach is beautiful and the staff were friendly, helpful and had lots of advice on things to do in the Outer Banks. We would highly recommend the site. The reservation website is awesome

We were headed to Hatteras Island and the bridge was closed. We went into the campground where the folks manning the office were very helpful in showing me how to make a reservation for the night. We parked and found out we had a flat tire on the trailer. The host (sorry I forgot his name) was great! He changed the flat with the spare. All in a 35 mph steady wind and mist. He's a SUPER host.We also camped a 2nd night as the bridge was open yet.GREAT stay.

Excellent State Campground and worth every penny you you spend, which isnt a lot to start with! Awesome value. Located adjacent to the Oregon Inlet ORV rampso, get your ORV permit online and early so you can be ready for some 4 X 4 fun on the beach, too!

Oregon Inlet campground and bath houses are clean and well-kept. The camping spots are spacious with just a short walk to the beach. While camping here, we easily visited Roanoke Aquarium, Manteo, Nags Head, H2OBX Waterpark, Wright Brothers Memorial, and Jockey's Ridge. We will be back!

says 2 vehicles although when wife arrived later they said she could not park at campsite because travel trailer counted as a vehicle. ok fine but several others had 2 vehicles at site and when rangers came by i asked 3 different ones and said technically was illegal but given benefit of doubt maybe just came for dinner but no they stayed the whole time and when rangers came through they said nothing to them just kept riding everyday! also grass was tall had plenty of room to cut to grass around me as came by twice but skipped right over it. also they used to clean the grill out but never did this time but i did . as to the vehicles rules are rules if i cant do it then no one should and should be inforced as i had to park new vehicle off site while others didnt and when confronted other campers to see the f any one had said anything they said other times yes but this trip no so they knew they were breaking rules. also had to unexpectedly leave a day early and clearly says refund will be through campground on early departure but when i called after leaving early they said they dont do that anymore to call recreation.gov. so when i did they directed me back to call campground and after giving hard time again and me keep demanding they finallysaid let me make some calls and call you back well after 30 seconds they called back and put in my refund !!! wow

Excellent campground for the cost. I recommend installation of a sewage dump at each camp site.

Great location in between Nags Head and Rodanthe. The facilities were well taken care of and I was able to get a nice shower. Some of the sites are close together and some are farther apart. Make sure you look at the map when booking unless you don't mind your neighbors being so close. We have a small teardrop camper and it was perfect for us. Everyone was very nice and considerate of others while we were there. Be sure to account for windy conditions while you are camping.

Enjoyed our stay at Oregon inlet campground. Sites were clean and fairly well spaced. Staff were very nice. Showers were minimal but clean. It would be nice to have clothing hooks on the outside of the doors to keep some things dry. Will definitely make an effort to stay there again. Lots to do and see
