We visited to watch the Gemenid meteor shower. It was a great site for star viewing. The bathrooms were clean and warm during our winter stay.

Nice campground near the sea. Spacious and well-maintained pitches.Very poor sanitary facilities and showers.

Nice campground. Close to the beach. Excellent for anyone who is planning some time relaxing on the beach, fishing or even surfing.

Great location and really pretty spot. The campsites don't have trees so if privacy is your thing, may not be for you. But sites are reasonable size and walking to the beach is a short walk. Beach is pretty and lots of shells. Everything was clean and we'd definately go back. Were a bit worried as we arrived after a rain and there was no breeze, so there were a lot of mosquitos and no see ems. But shortly after and for the next few days we barely noticed them again.

A fairly "standard" NPS type campground. The sites were as described. The bathrooms were clean. They were also making some roof improvements to the bathrooms. The description of the showers on the NPS website of "SHOWER TYPES Hot - Seasonal Free - Seasonal" does not tell the entire story. Yes, there are showers there and the water seemed warm/hot; however, the doors to the showers are open at the top and bottom (3/4 door). When the wind is blowing 25-25 miles an hour and it is raining, the showers are really a no go because of the 3/4 doors. There is no environmental control in the showers because of the 3/4 doors. Not a big deal when the temperatures are warm; however, a little more of an issue when the temperatures are cooler because the temperature in the showers is what the outside temperature is.Like I said, our site was decent (ocean, sand dunes, our site) and the bathrooms were clean. The description of the shower situation/shower house could have been better.

Excellent location. Bath houses and grounds are well kept and clean.We stayed in the C loop (no hookups) with a 33 travel trailer. There was enough room on our spot for the trailer and tow vehicle but this loop of the campground feels pretty tight with lots of larger RVs filling the spots. If you are a tent camper (A loop) or have a smaller rig, the spots are plenty big. The weather was windy and cold so we didnt spend much time at the beach. You are just north of the new Oregon Inlet bridge and the beach had plenty of people fishing.

A great place to camp. Easy beach access, conveniently located between Cape Hatteras and Corolla Beach. Get your orv pass and have a blast!

Not geared for drive up campers. Since there was no attendant when we got there (about 6:00 PM) we had to make a registration using our cell phone. Found it very frustrating (probably mostly me as I find the key pad too small and you just get near the end of the process and make a mistake and had to start all over again). In the dark and windy conditions. I still like dealing with people. Even some way to find a spot and come back in the AM when there is an attendant and make payment. Site was easy to find (even in the dark) and well laid out.

Great campground! The beach is beautiful in that area. We took our Jeep to see the wild horses in Corrolla. It was great!

We loved being in this area and exploring. The campsite was great. Tucked right up against a dune and facing east so the sunrises were beautiful. One suggestion is that there be lighting in the shower house for night time.

The visit was nice. Campground and bathrooms were clean. However when we arrived we were informed only one bathroom was open and there were no showers. That was not posted on the website anywhere. The last day of our stay they opened all the bathrooms but failed to turn the power on on the loop C bathroom so there was still no warm water and the lights were out at night. Other than that it was a nice visit. The hosts/volunteers were nice and answered questions.

Very nice campground, would definitely recommend! Unfortunately, it was extremely windy when we were there, so check wind conditions as it is very exposed.

Always nice at Oregon Inlet. Easy access to the beach, there was a wonderful breeze both weekends we were there this summer which kept the bugs at bay. Bathrooms are in good nic but the showers can sometimes be a little cold!
