Facility was clean, everyone was nice, and nothing beats being that close to the ocean. There was a good amount of space per each site too. It was a great spot to stay at if you are looking to explore everything from surf shops and jockeys ridge, to fishing and beach walls.

I had hoped to get tickets for the Bodie Island Lighthouse Full Moon climb, unfortunately they sold out as tickets are limited and sell out fast! I already had my campsite booked and chose to still take avantage of seeing the Strawberry moonrise. I tent camped solo and felt very safe in the full campground. I hiked a couple miles on the beach the next morning and grabbed coffee at the new, Oregon Inlet restaurant and store conveniently located across the road. The only thing that kept me awake was the bright, full moon and talkative birds. :)

We had a wonderful stay at the campground. Finally a place you can afford but still being nice and clean. We would probably choose a site with power and water next time, but with the showers being so nice and water fountains right there to fill your bottles and canister it was just fine. Everyone was super nice and helpful and funny. The only thing I didn't care for were the cars at the beach. Also - bug spray is a must.

We were backed in against the dunes, which was awesome because there was a trail next to us that lead you to the beach. If you have a telescope bring it. There is little light pollution which made for a great star display. The campground is in the middle of all of the main attractions too.

B loop, especially my site (B-3) seem to be crammed in.

We have been traveling to the Banks for years. This was a great trip, convenient to the beach and a private feel with the dunes and surroundings. Definitely a repeat for our next trip down the coast.

Right over the dunes to the beach and close to Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge as well as a short trip to town. Clean, well-ventilated bathrooms and showers. Note that they do allow vehicles on the beach and think about choosing other nearby public access beaches to hang out on. Dunes Restaurant nearby for breakfast, and, of course, Duck Donuts! A fantastic view of the Milky Way as long as your neighbors don't have ridiculously bright nightlights on their RVs.

We loved this campground. The kids had so much fun climbing the dunes. The sites were very spacious for the kids to run around freely. The staff was super friendly. Having electricity and water was a plus. We have T-Mobile and had no service in site B3. C35 was good service and B30 was on and off.

Nice campground...well tended for and convenient to lots of things. Easy drive to Kitty Hawk and activities there, fishing right across the road, beach was nice too. Did not use bathrooms due to covid but I am sure they were nice too. Staff was helpful with information.

The campground was very crowded. The workers were nice. I had a very hard time navigating the web site to reserve a spot. It was the worst experience I have ever had on a web site. I could not reserve a site for two nights. I clicked on two days, but when I went to check out it only had one night in the cart. I called the 800 number and when it asked me a question that required a yes or no answer it couldnt pick up on my yes answer. The host at Ocercoke called Oregon, the lady at Oregon could see my attempt to reserve the second day and said I had to go back and complete the transaction. When I tried to do that the web site said it was not available. And I was logged in. So I had to get a different site and move my camper. Then the web site wouldnt let me use my discount. But Gwen was able to refund my discount. Over all I was very frustrated.

Been coming her for over 50 years. Unfortunately, as a rough-it kind of camper I was disappointed to see that some sites had power. Never the less, it's beautiful and the staff is very friendly, organized, and on the spot.
