It was amazing to see all the Tundra Swans and other waterfowl across the bridge onto Pea Island. There is also much to discover on Roanoke Island. Kitty Hawk historic site is worth a visit as well. Or just stay at the beach and enjoy the wind and the waves.

Excellent stay at Oregon inlet campground. Loved our spot 35C. The park rangers were very helpful and friendly. We will be back in October! Love this place!

We enjoyed our stay. we were only in this site one night and moved to another site the next day. being by the road, it was rather noisy at times. It was really nice to have electric and water at the campsite. If you are hauling a trailer, and/or are prepared to boondock without electric and water at the site, the sites on the outer part of loops B and C nearest to the water are the nicest. However, be prepared to have generators running in sites near you.Though the showers are advertised as cold, there actually was hot water available. No adjustment on temperature, but it definitely was nice to get cleaned up. There is no bench in the shower, so go with minimal stuff. the doors lock, and there are openings above and below the doors to the outside, so it can be a little drafty. Supposedly WIFI is available right at the main office by the entrance by I was never able to get it work with the posted login information.

Campsites are super close together, the loop configuration requires everyone to drive past your campsite. If you are there after October 1 the beach is all fishermen and pickup trucks ( which I am sure is great for some)

When entering the campground, a sign instructed us to proceed to our campsite. The camp site had a tag with our name and reservation dates. Site was clean and water / electric connections were in good working order. Later, the camp host came to our RV to give us the permit tag to place on our truck's rear view mirror. Sites closest to highway are more noisey than on the beach side of the campground. We have camped at Oregon Inlet since 2013.

Good facilities! Not 5 stars due to the proximity to noisy highway and fairly open and close together sites- but not a deal breaker. Beautiful area, giant dunes and lots of wildlife and things to do.

It is a great campground alway love using the campground but I did find out it would be nice if they put full doors on the showers to cut down on the draft for the cooler camping months

Great family campground on the ocean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Tented camped w/our family of 4 (5 & 8 yr old). Restrooms & Shower House were clean (best outdoor shower i've ever had but did have to help the kids as they weren't tall enough to pull the string). Bring all the bug repellent, bands, spray, etc. they are ruthless. Its a hike over the dunes w/all your gear. If you have 4 wheel drive def. get a pass to drive out on beach. The public beach just down the road from the campground has boardwalk/showers to rinse of sand/restrooms def. recommend this for families. Can't wait to go back. Also check out the boats at the Marina across the street. Covid 19 Approved.

Such a beautiful park!!! Quiet with large sand dunes and natural beach.
