What an awesome place! Exactly what an Outer Banks campground should be.My site was no-hookups because it was a last minute booking, but I was immediately adjacent to the clean, well maintained bath house. I enjoyed how the campground was integrated into the existing dunes. This made the sites feel more private than they otherwise would have.The campground is a moderate walk (10 minutes thru deep sand) to the most pristine, uncrowded, undeveloped beach. Not a building in sight. If you are looking for a Myrtle Beach kind of experience, go there. But if youd like a few days with no crowds, this is the place.The campground is a short drive to more developed areas with restaurants, shopping, etc.

Nice facilities. It was a longer walk to the beach than we would have liked but it was a nice weekend.

We love Oregon Inlet Campground. This years visit was preceded by many days of rain, the ground was saturated, and B28 was flooded and unusable. No fault of NPS. We found a hotel, and we hope that our camping fees will go towards improvements at that campground. Cant wait to come back next year and try again. We will plan better and consider the weathers effects further out.

The personnel were ever so helpful in helping us get a site for the night. We had to get on the WiFi to complete our transaction and they helped at every step to completion. Thank you.

The park is over the dune from the beach. Right next to the park is beach access to drive on. The location is excellent. The park itself is fairly large. There are some slots that have electric and water, but there's no sewer hookup. The showers and the restroom were very clean. The park itself looks well maintained. The slots are a little bit short in some areas, and that may pose an issue if you have an additional vehicle. The park requires that all vehicles are on the pavement, keep that in mind when choosing your site. It can be a little difficult to get reservations there. If you decide you want to go, you need to get reservations as soon as possible.

I was there in March 2022. I had reserved an ADA site next to a bathroom, given my unpredictable issues with fatigue. Unfortunately, the bathroom it was near was not open yet. When I asked a ranger about it, she told me that the maintenance crew refuses to open it until April 1. Although the website says the bathroom facilities are seasonal, it doesnt give the dates for the season. I incorrectly assumed that if a campsite was available that meant it was in season. Before April, only the central bathroom is open, so plan accordingly. Also, believe the reviews about how windy this campground gets. It would be worth bringing a tarp and lots of poles, guy ropes and stakes for a wind break if you are tent camping. I have a small, low tent, but I saw lots of bigger tents collapsed in the wind.Otherwise, I had a great visit. The beach is in walking distance, even for me.

I had 2 non electric days I canceled from site B28 and booked 2 electric sites,that became available and never got a refund?????
