We had a very relaxing stay at Oregon Inlet , the proximity to the drive on beach was perfect, the campground was very clean , lawns were cut and maintained. The dumpstation across the street and Air station for refilling the tires for the beach was very convenient and well maintained. The outer banks is a great area and having access to camp on it makes it even better!

Very good off-season experience! We have stayed on the OBX many times, but this was our first OBX camping adventure. Know that it is ALWAYS windy, so tent camping could be a challenge. We had one night of gale force winds while we were there. The campground is wide open, particularly loops B & C. While you can hear the ocean from the campground, it's a walk or drive over the dunes to get to the beach. The bathrooms in loop A & B were open, C was closed. All of the showers were closed at the time of our visit. The bathrooms were very clean and warm! There is a low to moderate amount of road noise from Rt 12.

Campsites are a bit small and crowded, but this is an excellent base for exploring this part of the Outer Banks. Oregon Inlet, Bodie Island Lighthouse and Pea Island Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center with nature trail are a short distance away. The Wright Brothers Memorial and Publix fried chicken are 25 minutes away. You can see Bodie Lighthouse and its light from the campground. Nice beach close by, but a bit of a climb through deep soft sand over the dunes to get there.

We love Oregon Inlet Campground. This was our 4th trip camping there. The sites are a nice size, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the bathrooms and showers are well-kept. We will be going back in June!

This is a nice campground. The bathrooms are in the center of the loop so they are close to everyone. Very nice location across the sand dunes from the ocean.

Everything was great. We had a great time, good beach access. I will say bring a pop up tent for shade because there isn't shade at all but other than that it was amazing

This park should be known for its windy conditions. There is always a breeze, some days more so than others. There are 3 loops to this park. Loop A is dedicated to tent camping while loops B & C offer sites for tents, trailers and motorhomes. There are only a select number of sites that offer electric and water. There is a restroom facility with the bath stalls located outside the building. The sites are all open and are fairly close to each other. The dump station is located across the street at the Oregon Inlet fishing marina. The beach is directly over the sand dunes and allows for vehicles to drive on the beach. This campground is located within the Outer Banks so there is plenty of shopping, restaurants and activities.

With the exception of the storm with rain and winds up to 45mph that stalled for 6 days over this area, I had a miserable time but you have to roll with the punches. I'm definitely coming back again. National Park Service employees were great and the campgrounds were nice.

Enjoyed it. Nice facilities, great place to bring an RV, lovely beach nearby, pleasant bathrooms, pretty drive in. Is there anything that the neighborhood next door can do about those crazy bright lights of theirs. I mean, wow - it is like a factory or military base is next door or something. But the park itself is wonderful.

First time here. Pulled in during a torrential downpour and the whole place was flooded. Hook ups were on and waiting. We settled in for the night and woke up to a beautiful new day. It was a wonderful 5 days in total. The park can't control the weather but they sure make the best of it.

I enjoyed my days here at Oregon Inlet. Sites are spaced out, fairly level. The beach was only about a 5 minute walk through the sand dunes. I would stay here again. Staff are friendly and informative. Water and electric while the dump was across the highway at the marina.
