Great place. Easy access to the beach and not far to town. Highly recommended this place.

Great NPS campground, right next to the dunes on the beach, very clean and well kept. The restrooms were clean, but no hot water. Didn't use the showers, as they are in a separate, open structure and it was quite cool during our three night stay in late Nov. There are plenty of things to see and do nearby, even during the cooler months; Wright Brothers National Memorial, Hatteras, Bodie Island lighthouse, Fort Raleigh and the waterfront town of Manteo, as well as plenty of restaurants and shops. We plan on returning during warmer weather for more OBX experience.

Right on the dunes and close to Bodie Island lighthouse and Oregon Inlet Fishing Center

I'm not sure who is the head of maintenance but having spent 3 previous years here they have really declined in efficiency. I and neighboring campers have requested mowing to be done to no avail. The grass is now so high that the ticks have moved to the campground and are being brought in by dogs and on me. I have pictures of the unmown grass and the tick I removed from myself. Friday will be 2 weeks since I requested mowing.

The camp site was big enough and we were fortunate enough to have electric and water hookups. My biggest complaint was that the road through the campground was tight when full, I had a difficult time backing in because of vehicles parked in adjacent spots. We didnt use the bath house but checked them out. No hot water. The showers were basically beach showers.

Great location, small walk to the beach. Always a nice breeze blowing. Easy back up sites, quick hookups, dump station just across the street.

Good sized sites and convenient location without being in the busy part of the area.

The campgrounds were well kept and clean. The bathhouse was well maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Oregon Inlet Campground. We would have loved hot water in the shower instead of just a cold shower.

Liked site C-43 - Leveled easily and hookups were a breeze. We went up and down the 'Banks, Frisco to Kitty Hawk and saw some sights...nearby Brodie Island Lighthouse, Wright Brothers Memorial. Beach was not so great in early April, high winds throughout the stay but that sort of thing is to be expected, so not a downer for any reason. ATT 4G was sufficient to stream TV on our Roku in the evening, since the chillier temps and gusty, chill wind plus campfire ban at this site precluded many evening activities outside. OTA reception is possible but there are very few channels so, if screen entertainment is in your plan, be prepared. Was able to work online on Monday morning but a sudden outage (whether our equipment or cellular provider's equipment, not sure) left us high and dry for a time. With bad weather rolling in, we packed up a day early and rolled home. Same day, further up the coast, some trailers were overturned by the weather while on their sites, so we feel we made the right decision. We travelled with our dog and the park is dog-friendly but be prepared to walk to dispose of the poop you scoop as there are no doggie stations or public waste receptacles except by the entrance. Will camp here again.

It is what it is... an ocean side camp site... exposed. But that is why you come here.WARNING: as 12-11-2021...There is a HUGE pothole as you make your way to the dump station at the Marina. If it rains and standing water fills in the area, you will not see the pothole. It is a very deep pothole... needs filling in.You might damage your vehicle, or your "poop wagon."The pothole is very dangerous is you don't know where it is.Suggest visiting the dump station prior to exit if perhaps you leave after a heavy rain.Otherwise.. love being next to the beach... thank you National Park Service.

The area has a lot to do. My kids loved the beach and sand dunes. Two of our four nights had very strong wind and our pop up trailer did not do well. Good place to go if your equipment works well in the wind. Also the showers are practically outdoor which made it feel freezing with the wind. I highly recommend going if you are prepared for wind.
