I really enjoyed this campground. The timing was great , off season and not a full campground. The outside warm shower was refreshing . The sounds of the surf at night was almost as good as the walks along the beach in the daylight great stay

Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Lovely view of the dunes, and the park hosts were very helpful.

Campground is beautiful, like others have said, the burr stickers are bad if you get off any path. Noise from cars on highway at night, but not bad. Shooting of hunters before first light, but we are used to that, being from No Idaho! Checked off a bucket list item to get to OBX. Would go to Ocracoke next to time.

Great spot for visiting the Outer Banks and North and South attractions. Not to far to Corolla, and located close to the Wright Brothers, Jockey's Ridge SP, Bodie Lighthouse and the town of Maneo. Sites are behind the dunes with great access to the beach. Very clean and well kept.

Nice clean campsite and easy walk to ocean. They close showers in winter season and shut down some of the washroom stations so keep that in kind.

The campground is well cared for and managed. The bathhouse was clean and the showers were great- the water was a perfect temperature. Our site backed up onto the dunes and it was a very short walk over to the gorgeous beach. We visited the beach across the road from the Pea Island visitors center a couple of days, and it was mostly deserted. Awesome! The wind in mid- September kept any remaining summer bugs away. We will definitely visit again.

I enjoyed fishing on the new pier. If you tent camp, use good tent anchors.

Wonderful campground and staff. Beware the no-see-ums and mosquitos though. They are no joke.

Love being able to camp at the beach, although this campground has a bit of a hike over the dunes to the beach. This campground is located about half way between Nags Head and the lower end of the Island which was great

Beautiful campground on a quiet beach with good bathroomswhat more could I want? Well, a utility sink for washing up dishes wouldve been great. But otherwise, we loved it!

This was the second time we visited this campground during COVID. We liked going from Nov 6-11 because it was not crowded at all and the people we saw were the RV owners who just want to chill in peace without bothering anyone. We saw very few people with children. The weather was beautiful 70F during the day and 60F at night. My children age 6 and 11 enjoyed driving to Kill Devil Hills to go mini golfing (I recommend going at 10:00 a.m. when they open, that way you are the first to enter and the first to leave) We also ventured and drove to Manteo, NC where we realized it was where all the locals live (Nags Head and Kill Devil Hills are just filled with empty vacation homes during this season). We really enjoyed our stay, the only problem we saw compared to the other time we stayed here was that the beach had more seaweed this time and also because of the campsite location (B20) we would end up with a ton of those spiky balls from the beach plants around the campsite (don't know what they are called but they stick to shoes, clothes and are pretty sharp so it's better to not walk barefoot around the campground and examine your clothes often, if you step on them you will sure regret it). There are no trees to hang anything from them so it's better to bring a canopy to get some shade and also to put over the picnic table because in the morning when you first wake up you realize that the ocean breeze drops damp everything around your tent (including the picnic table). Bring a clothesline that you can hang from your canopy to dry towels, shoes, etc.

Love this campground. Clean bathrooms, great warm showers, nice sized sites and right on the dunes. This was our second year and will definitely return next year.
