loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Have stayed at larger fancy campgrounds in obx but this exactly what we've been looking for the whole time! Quiet, everyone's friendly, comfortable and safe!

Beautiful peaceful campground with many sites having water and electricity. Unfortunately the dump station nearby was closed for our stay and the nearest place to dump was about 10 miles away but I believe its open again now. Best part was our lovely hosts, Dylan and Megan. It was refreshing to have young people doing that job. They were friendly and delightful as well as knowledgeable and kept the place tidy and clean.

Campground was very tight, basically each campsite RV driveway was every 40ft so you get to know your neighbors pretty well. Facilities were adequate.

Not sure why they can keep the bathrooms on loops A and B open but not loop C. Also, if you can have running water in the bathrooms, why not keep the showers open. Overall not worth it.

The site was nice and clean. Easy to check in at Oregon Inlet. The hosts were great and enjoyed walking the campground. Outside of the strong winds, most definitely looking forward to staying next year.

Great, open beach style camping! Winds was blowing 25 knots and the rain she was a pelting!

The volunteers were helpful and friendly, and the camp was clean. The spots are a little rustic, but very clean and well maintained. The connections towers made hooking up quick and easy. We highly recommend and will use again. A great stopping point if you're traveling the coast and want to catch the ferry at Hatteras.

While the area is beautiful to visit this campground is lacking in many aspects. During February and March the showers and washrooms are not available in the C and B loops. The individual sites are short for today's standards of RV units making adherence to the rules difficult. Finally, this park doesn't follow the guidelines correctly for the use of propane fire rings. We were told that we couldn't use our propane fire ring unless we were cooking on it? Clearly the attendant was not getting the correct message about these units. After contacting the Park Ranger he said that the attendant was not correct and that the use of propane fire rings was permitted but by the end of our stay no notice or confirmation of this has taken place at the campground.

Great stay at a very pleasant place very near the oceanfront. Level spot with a lot of grass around an asphalt pad. Hope to stay again someday

Been camping here for over 20 years but this was the first time in January. Obviously depends on the weather, but Winter on the Outer Banks can be a very unique experience. Definitely worth a visit of you're up for it.

The campground is very comfortable. The sites are large enough so you aren't on top of your neighbors. The utility pedestals are really nice, and in great condition. The staff is friendly and helpful. Access to the beach from the campground is great. Crossing the dunes to get to the ocean adds to the anticipation. The campground's location is perfect for spending time on Hatteras Island and Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge. But it is still convenient to Nags Head. The only downsides are no showers and the bathrooms in C Loop were closed. We had to go to the B Bathrooms. We will be back.

Well... I'm a 55 year old woman traveling alone in the off season...January. This place is so beautiful and maybe especially special because I was one of 4 campers in the entire campground. It was windy and pretty cold but so so beautiful. The staff that greeted me were beyond kind!!! They made it clear that they would be available should I need anything during my stay. I love traveling to great places off season. It has its down side because of inclement weather.... But I loved this location. I will be back!!Thank you all

Check in was easy. The camp hosts drove around and were available but were not nosy. The outdoor warm showers were an experience. The bathrooms with the flush toilets and sinks was clean. The trash dumpster had enough room for my trash so I know it was being emptied regularly. The whole campground felt clean and safe. My tent site was a short walk to the beach. The electricity and water at my site worked fine. I would return to camp at Oregon Inlet again.

It was great location with a leisurely walk to the beach. The campground was clean and very maintained. Enough distance between campers and staff was friendly! Will definitely book again!

Such a scenic place to camp! We had a lovely time. The shower could use some temperature adjustment so can have hotter water. Enjoyed being able to drive out onto the beach! Great quiet family campground.

Level, spacious camping & RV sites easily accessible within the Outer Banks. An easy walk to the shoreline from any camping site. Coast Guard operations & chartered fishing across the street. A perfect spot!
