THE SHOWERS COULD USE AN UPGRADE TO INCLUDE NORMAL PREASURE.

This is a perfect location! The sites are large and the bathrooms adequate. We had a great stay and look forward to coming back.

Nice but there is no shade anywhere. No trees at all. The access to the bathrooms should be from both sides. Currently, if you are on the side with no access, you have to trespass across other peoples sites if you don't want to walk all the way around to the actual entrance. The bathrooms were reasonably clean but the showers need some attention. Plus you can't control the temperature of the water. The little shelf in the corner was broken in both of the showers near me.

Love this campground! Facilities are clean. Close to beach. Nearby attractions include Bodie Island Lighthouse, Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, Oregon Inlet Fishing Center (for fishing charters, dolphin cruises, etc.), Nag's Head, wild horses in Corolla, Jockey's Ridge, Wright Brothers Museum, Lost Colony show and Elizabethan Gardens in Manteo, Ferry to Ocracoke Island (from Hatteras), lots of shopping (unique seaside art shops and outlets), etc.

Always a great place to visit. Great price, close to the beach, and quiet. It's a quick drive to town, but you are far enough away that you can spend your time on the beach with not many people.

This was my first ever December camping trip in my new Tab 360. It was a good overall experience. I was happy to find the water at my site on, as I expected the water to be off. The site was perfect. I knew the shower house and bathrooms would mostly be closed around the campground this time of year, but glad the bathroom outside of the office was still open for use. I was required to be creative. Im looking forward to going back in 2025.

The ranger and staff was very helpfull. Keep in mind that in the winter most of the stores are closed. I would suggest a offroad permit and ride the beach.

Reservation site is very smooth. (Even better would be to see the actual unavailable dates in my request instead of the site just returning an overall partial leaving me to make guesses to find out.) Overall great site and easy to access and use especially from mobile. I like being able to slide up and down to see the map. Cant wait to get to back to OI!

We love staying at Oregon Inlet, which is why return every spring. The beach, wildlife, beautiful sunrises, level lots that are very well-kept and easy to back into sites. Park staff are friendly and helpful. Looking forward to our return next year already.

Loop C bathrooms NOT OPEN!!! Very inconvenient especially when B loop was too far away to comfortably access! Also! Had to wait for sewer dump to be fixed and pumped! Although Andy was super courteous to call me when fixed, Sure would have be nice to know when booking that loop c bathrooms would NOT be opened!!

Nice little camp ground. The wind made our stay a little exciting and we had to pull in the canopy and slide-out to prevent wind damage. Afterwards, the wind calmed and the beaches were much more pleasant. Lots to see on the islands and this place is well-located to see the whole outer banks.

I came here as a baby with my family, I brought my children here and now my husband and I continue to come in retirement. We love Oregon Inlet, and the water and power are an added bonus. We love to see the catch of the day at the marina. We love to walk on the beach. What we love most of all, is the campground is so quiet and laid back. Relaxation at its finest!

Great campground staffed by friendly people. Stayed only three days in March 2021; not the best weather. However, we still visited Bodie and Cape Hatteras Lighthouses, found fresh seafood in Wanchee, and hiked interesting trails.

We love this campground and visit regularly. Staff were especially nice this time! :-) Wish the water in the showers was hotter. After fishing in the cold all day, a hot shower would make the whole trip better. Wish there were a slop sink for washing dishes. Otherwise its awesome.

This campsite is very well maintained. The bathrooms are clean. The showers could use some cleaning with bleach since they got some yellow water stains. I highly recommend getting the permit to drive on the beach (it was a blast and a new experience for our family, I recommend you do it around lunch, bring some chairs and then make hot dogs by doing a fire right on the sand, the permit for beach fires is free but you have to follow some guidelines and fires are not allowed in all beaches). We stayed at Oregon inlet October 23-26 during COVID -I appreciated how people kept distance and wore a mask when entering the restrooms (there were signs outside, which I have not seen in other campsites we have visited). Be aware of the sudden winds so make sure you secure your canopies and tent with strong stakes, otherwise they will fly away. The wind is perfect for flying kites, if you have children make sure you bring kites (the bigger the better). The water was a bit cold but my children age 6 and 11 did not mind getting in. The kids collected so many shells and had a blast doing that for hours. At night we made a fire pit on the beach and spotted some crabs walking all over the sand, they were attracted to the lantern lights so my children loved looking at them (they glow in the dark). Another thing to consider is that there are no trees anywhere in the campsite so don't bother to bring a hammock unless you have one with a stand. When I booked our campsite the description said it had an electric hookup but never mentioned the water hookup. When we arrived I realized there was also a water hookup which was very useful but I would have liked to know that before hand, because I usually take with me a small hose with a sprayer, which is useful to rinse sand off things but I did not take it this time because the reservation did not mention the water hookup. We don't own an RV but always like to reserve a site with water and electricity. The beach was beautiful!
