Bushes on back side of showers getting too close. Makes area back there feel claustrophobic and threat from mosquitoes.

Always an enjoyable experience at the campground! Clean showers and bathrooms are always an amazing bonus! Love this place!!

Great location just over the dunes! The only con was that the camping pad location was in a slight depression in the sand. Super cute, but it does restrict some airflow- a necessity on those hot nights!

Great spot in the dunes. Piece and quiet without the crowds of northern OBX. Empty beaches, I traveled in late mid-October.Would have liked nicer, warm showers.

I always consider my self lucky to spend time at the campground! Its always clean and the best way to enjoy the outer banks! Having access to miles of uncrowned beaches within minutes of your tent is priceless

We have camped at Oregon Inlet for a couple decades. The ONLY problem is the unavailability of sites due to No Shows because of online only booking. There should be a penalty or some solution to this! It prevents so many people from being able to stay in a first come, first serve. Its unfair to less affluent campers who cant afford to reserve & then not show. Half the campground was reserved but empty!

No matter what time of year this place is awesome. Nice showers and far enough to see all the stars yet closed to any store you might need. I love it

Such a wonderful campground! As a first time beach camper, I felt very comfortable here. The sites were close enough without being too close, and I felt very safe with the rangers making multiple rounds throughout the day. Please keep in mind since you're at the beach there is no shade, so I recommend a tarp or shade tent, and with being at the beach, it's best to bring longer stakes. The bathrooms were kept clean every day and the showers were practical (the pull down kind, not a constant flow). They are outdoor showers, however, so keep that in mind when considering what time of day to shower, as there is no light in the shower after the sun goes down. Potable water was easily available. The campground residents were very quiet after hours, no loud music or disruptive, drunken people, which was nice. The beach is RIGHT over a couple of dunes, and it is wonderful to be able to wake up and walk right to the beach, which was never extremely crowded. Would definitely come back!

Spent a long weekend tent camping at the OI campground the third week in August. Lucked into an available campsite thanks to a less than perfect weather forecast. Restrooms were clean and the staff very friendly as you'd expect from the NPS. Was surprised and pleased to find luke warm showers after years of taking cold showers at the Cape Point Campground in Buxton Perfect launch pad to chase surf up and down the OBX during Hurricane Henri.

Great beach access campground with simple quick showers and nice space. No bush or tree deprecation or shade so bring your own overhead shade if able.

Great location! Definitely pack guylines and extra stakes for windy conditions.

Warm October weather made a great weekend, rode the bikes up to the Bodie lighthouse and Nags Head. Perfect location.
