Great price with senior America the Beautiful card. Water & electric, no sewer. Nice place, on the ocean. No ammenities, but comfortable, clean bathhouses. NO bugs in October. Good beach, close to Nags Head, Ktty Hawk etc. Drivable beach. Dump station across street. Move the garbage dumpsters, they are in the way/road.

Great quiet campground away from the hustle and bustle of the outer banks. The water pressure has good pressure and the electric is stable and more than adequate. T-Mobile's service works great throughout the campground and beach. We will definitely come back.

Beautiful location. We left a few days earlier than expected and had a refund (not expected) almost immediately. Campground was clean and flat (level). Water and electric hookups at site and dump station across the street. Easy and very nice walk to the ocean. It was our fault for not doing our homework, but the only downside for me and my wife was campfires not allowed.

This is a good campground, and I appreciate that a small part of it has had electricity and water added. The common areas were quite clean and everything offered worked. It's tough to book on of those very popular sites, Hopefully that will be expanded. There is a notice across the street at the Marina (where the dump station is located) that next month it (the dump station) won't be available, as they are making upgrades to that area. It would be good for the campground to post that. No issues with the camp ground host. Beautiful spot, one of my go-to places.

The park was fine. The reservation process and the "Refund Policy" was not. Using my phone to make an online reservation for the same night that I arrived, I MISTAKENLY made a double reservation for one of the nights. I was unable to get a CORRECTION/refund because of the "Refund Policy".

Great location... just a nice drive from Kitty Hawk, Roanoke Island & its the Outer Banks Baby!! OK.. the campsite is nice flat level sites and the NPS hosts were great. Our site electric did not work for some reason when we arrived and the host managed to get us in another site (lucky a cancellation came in that morning). He went out of his way to be sure we got a site w electric for the next 2 days. Our new site was perfect and our old site was repaired early the next morning. Great location a short walk to the beach. Would definitely recommend this site.

We really enjoyed our stay at this campground. It's situated in a quiet part of the island, centrally located for exploring the northern and southern parts of the Outer Banks. The Bodie Lighthouse is close by. In fact, we visited all 3 lighthouses, including Currituck Beach Lighthouse in Corolla and the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in Buxton. The campsite itself was very easy to back in our travel trailer. Our site had water and electrics hookups, which were convenient, and the Dump Station across the street was also convenient. And the price was very affordable.

Great campground! Plenty of space for or 35' motorhome plus a car. Bathhouse a sufficient and staff was friendly.

What a great place to camp. The camp ground was clean and beautiful, the staff was excellent and welcoming. One our favorite camp grounds.

We had an electric and water site. Loved the location and the campground. Campground main road was a little narrow and sites were just barely big enough for most rv and tow vehicles. Showers were "rustic" but they worked and the water was warm. Fishing Center just across the road had a nice little store for basic supplies and Nags Head was a short drive up the road. Definitely the best bargain for camping anywhere on Hatteras Island/Bodie Island.

Camp sites are nice. The showers are warm but the rooms are not heated. The walk to the beach is difficult for people with disabilities.

Definitely make reservations way ahead of your travel date. It had rained several days before we arrived and the mosquitoes were horrible so make sure you take insect repellent. We were there last year about the same time never had a problem with them. Sites are paved and fairly level. Only really downside is the dump station is across the road at the marina. Make sure that you do go over there at sunset to see it set over Bodie Light house. Absolutely beautiful!
