Very nice campground, beach is wonderful, camp host and family very nice, bathroom nice considering its winter. Only downside is the sand spurs. They are everywhere, Shoes, trailer, pups paws. and they hurt. Otherwise very nice, close to nags head for shopping, dump station across the street and easily accessible. Just those sand spurs, ugg:)

Had a wonderful time staying the weekend at Frisco Campground. The staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities were clean and convenient. Highly recommend to anyone looking to unplug for weekend getaway.

Sand spurs everywhere. I arrived at campground found my camp spot and took my dog for a walk. He got spurs his paws,they were on my shoes and pants present everywhere even on concrete. Found out showers were shut and dump station closed. Spaces small. Was a good location but had to leave after first night because of the sand spurs. Unable to walk to beach or around campground.

Great location near the ocean and Pea Island Wildlife Refuge. Not sure if the shower had hot water since the bathroom didn't seem to. But otherwise the campsite was great.

A beautiful location to enjoy the beach. We loved the proximity to the lovely beaches. We had water and electric and enjoyed that. Our only complaint is the dump station being across the highway.

The host complained about where i was parking how i was parked we drove 800 miles with 2 vehicles where did he expect me to park. The showers sucked definitely a bad experience i should've spent the extra money and just got a hotel never again.

The location is great for exploring the OBX area. I love the close proximity of the ocean to the campground. I also appreciated that a national campground had electrical and water hook-ups. The sites are nicely spaced which is appreciated in an area that has little vegetation between sites. The bathroom was clean.

The campground is in a beautiful setting with quick access to the beach through the dunes. The roads are a little tight and it's a little awkward that you have to walk so close to people's campsites to get to most of the bathrooms in the RV campground, but the location and natural beauty make up for those things - really just more of an FYI. The dump station across the way is a bit tricky to find. We went over with our car first to check it out and I'm glad we did so that we weren't driving the RV around trying to find it.

The campground is very clean as well as the bathrooms ad showers. We had to leave a day early due to storm conditions, but otherwise it was great.However, the use of the dump station at the marina was not good, the marina seems to be set up to not accommodate the RVers. During charter fishing season, it would be next to impossible to navigate through the parking lots to get to the station. We lucked out that the impending storm kept the charter boats in safe harbor.

Quiet, laid-back, no-hassle hosts, a great visit. Water pressure was a little low and the beach was more rutted with tire tracks than we would have liked but still a great place to spend a week in the winter.

The sand spurs all over the grass, make it a less than ideal situation for our dogs. We only learned about this once we were there. It was horrible. We had to drive them to another location to go for a walk. Do not stay here if you have dogs!

Nice campground with water and electric near the ocean. Sites could be a little further apart with some vegetation.

Sites are a bit close but level. Nice location close to beach.
@DanielD4395113 · Camped on Dec 31, 2020 at Campsite #B39
Nice campground and close to the ocean through the dunes, power and water available and dump station on the other side of the road from the campground. Bathhouse was clean and warm water in the shower rooms but they were too open to the wind when its windy and cold. Shower valve is a pull chain valve that you have to hold down for water. So either you get cold to use both hands to wash or you use one hand and hold the chain down...

The Oregon Inlet campground was great. The person that did my check in was very friendly. The campsite was nice, and most importantly, the restrooms were incredibly clean - greatly appreciated. I can't think of anything that I would change.
