This spot is not the worst if you are a not so light sleeper, it is right beside the main entrance and the road way seems to be contstantly driven on so at times it does get a bit noisy. Other than that it was a great place to rest for the night, very family friendly, fairly close to the bathroom and showers. Grills and camp were nice and clean when we arrived. Definitely would camp here again.

The weather in Spring is beautiful with warm days and cool nights. Usually the bugs are not too bad yet as well. At night the stars are simply amazing. Catch the sunset at the end of the Oregon Inlet bridge pier and you will not be disappointed. The bathrooms were clean with warm water showers. Im definitely coming back.

The Park Ranger @ the site was great guy. America needs more people like him. He treated us with great respect and made our visit very enjoyable and comfortable. We plan on going back next year.

Everything was wonderful aside from the fact that the water for showers heats from the sun. Being that I went early April- I had some VERY cold showers. Otherwise, very well kept and calm!

Check in was easy (just pick up your registration info from the board at entry), campground was completely full but still quiet. Beach was beautiful with really stunning and deep dunes separating campground from the beach. Word of warning that sites close to the entrance/road are noisy from traffic at night - if we go again, I will book a site closest to/almost in the dunes. When no passing traffic, you can hear the ocean from anywhere in the camp ground. Mosquitos were out but manageable with bug spray.

The bathrooms were not clean in many instances. There were ant hills on the campground where I stayed. Could have been sprayed down or controlled. Check in and check out were easy. Overall decent stay.

I chose by map location the site, A37, I reserved on recreation.gov app but when I got there it was actually A6 and A37 in a different location. I had wondered why the site was out of numerical order with the rest of the sites but repeated checks and 3 more days reservations made while there still showed my site as being where A6 actually is. I ended up next to the highway and dumpster, NOT WHERE I CHOSE TO BE. This NEEDS to be fixed.

Always love staying at this campground. The facility is clean and staff is friendly and helpful. Being so close to the beach is great! Love watching the sunrise and walks on the beach.

Nice campground, primitive but it is camping. Stayed on tent loop for one night while kayak fishing out of Oregon Inlet. Extremely convenient for this, we were on the water 20 minutes after leaving the campground. Highly recommend for fishing trips, surf fishing is also just a short walk from the campsite.
