So much to see & do in the OBX - make sure you give yourself enough time. Oregon Inlet is a great middle location to see everything.

Was my first time setting up my camper. The grounds are nice and the Rangers were great.

The location is great for sightseeing from Kitty Hawk to Cape Hatteras. Great access to a beautiful beach but the walk over the dunes can be strenuous for anyone with hip or knee issues. Campsites are short and narrow with tight navigation through the loop due to vehicles parked up to the road. All traffic for both B and C loops circulates through B and many people do not observe the speed limit. Rules state no parking on the grass but it is not enforced. We saw the camp host vehicle parked on the grass and several towed cars parked fully on the grass beside the class A. The restroom and showers for B loop are located in the center of the loop but does not have sidewalks to the facilities so people walk through the adjacent sites to get there so, if that would bother you, choose sites on the outside of the loop. There appeared to be a cell tower within sight, signal was only 2 bars so it may have been radio communications only, associated with the Coast Guard station across the highway.

Weather wasnt the best, but campground was nice. Level lots, but many people stuffed larger Rvs on lot not having enough room for their cars to be on the asphalt roads. Hosts ignored the cars on grass. Road was not large, and with squeezed in cars it was a tight squeeze to get through. Showers appear to be solar heated. Toilets and showers were clean and nice. Be sure you get a spot that is long enough for your camper.

This campground is just as advertised. The only negative is no shade on Hot.Days and the wind can be blowing very hard so awnings aren't advised.

We had a great time at Oregon Inlet. The facilities were clean and well supplied. The showers were warm (but, being outside, there were times when a cool wind gave a quick chill). The check in was person-less and we had no contact with the park personnel but we did not need it. The dump station was across the street but easily accessible. We were in a site with water and power which operated perfectly.

Clean, quiet, short hike to ocean. Sites well spaced. Water elec or dry camping only. Lttle windy so watch camper awning. Short drive to some really nice beaches, pea island a must visit

We had prefect weather, the campground was clean, well kept, and the showers had hot water. Note important , the staff was courteous, helpful, and well informed. We have coped at Oregon Inlet for the past four years... and plan to do the same for the next four years!

All of the attendants at the camp went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating during our stay. One recommendation we received from a staff member was to visit the Hatteras shipwreck museum and it was well worth the trip. The only recommendation for change would be to make the spaces for the RVs longer than they are.

We have been coming here for years, way before power and water hookup. It's perfect for us, and the perfect location.

Neat, clean and the staff and volunteers are are great. Spots with electric are hard to get so book early. Looking forward to the pier opening at the inlet so we can take advantage of the good fishing the area has to offer.

what can you say? campground right over the dunes to the beach, water and electric. Did we say outer banks beaches some of the best beaches you will encounter. we will be back many times we love it!!!!.

We had a great stay at Oregon Inlet campground. The restrooms and bathhouses were kept clean and tidy. The campground itself was comfortable. Everything worked as it should on our electric/water site. The walk over the dune to the beach was comfortable and convenient. The dump station across the street at the marina was fine, but did have a line, even a few hours before checkout time. Would be nice to have two dump connections to speed things up a bit. Otherwise our stay was near perfect and we will definitely consider this location when staying in the Outer Banks again.

The amenities are awesome. The 14-50 nema hookup is perfect for Tesla camping and the restrooms are very clean as well as the private shower. I plan to come back again by the end of Summer.
