Nice campground in a gorgeous location. Well kept campsites and clean bathrooms with HEATED SHOWERS, although they are open to the outside and you get cold. Still that's much better than Ocracoke, that only has cold showers.

The campground, facilities and beach were awsome. Making and modifying reservations with the app and live agents on the phone was excellent and the hold time was minimal. Also had a fantastic experience at Frisco Campground and Ocracoke Campground. I appreciate that there is not any extra fee for making reservations or changing them, unlike the State Parks who use a third party service with outrageous hold times.

We didn't stay long but it was okay for the time we did. There should be a better description about the bathroom and showers for campers not in an RV. We unfortunately got there after dark and after a day on the beach and the "shower" had no electricity and was just a little pull cord. The water was warm though, so that was a plus! I also wish the walk to the beach wasn't as far. Much longer than described.

Campground loop C is great, but any kind of shade would be soooo nice!

Had site without water or electric. Electric would make a big difference. It was early april when we were there, and it was cool, and windy. It is windy - really windy - there all the time. Campground is wide open, but great access to atlantic, and a reasonable drive to civilization.

Camped their for our fist time in October 2022 in a tent. Our daughter and her family joined us with their pop-up. We were in C loop which was mostly RVs and a few pop-ups. Fabulous weather with cold nights and warm days. Really appreciated the warm showers. About a 1,000 foot walk thru the beautiful dunes to the expansive beach. Saw deer in the dunes a couple of times. NC 12 is quite close to the campground and was a source of constant noise. It was nice to be within a few minutes of Nags Head for supplies and restaurants. Was able to see Bodie Is lighthouse from our site. Quite nice! The Oregon Inlet marina is a stones throw away and interesting. A store there has a few snacks, drinks, ice, and few supplies - is definitely fishing oriented as you would expect. New building going up that will include a restaurant. The bridge over the inlet provides beautiful views in all directions. Campground is clean and relatively well maintained. Found it interesting how many campers brought their dogs with them. Some barked too frequently but most owners kept theirs in check. Wasnt really a problem. The dumpsters are only located at the entrance to the campground vs scattered among the sites. Probably due to the rather narrow and winding campground roads. The narrowness was problematic for the larger RVs when moving into sites but most overcame it with persistence. Will definitely come back.

Beautiful park and location. It would be even better if all had hookups with at least water and electric.

Nice location. Sites are very close together so it lacks privacy. Perhaps you could add some more trees and shrubs. Also adding more electric sites would be great.

The thing that Oregon Inlet has going for it is its location. The inlet is beautiful. Winds were high and out of the east during our visit, and the waves interacting with the outgoing tide was great to watch. The bathrooms were nice, and they were clean. Water from the shower was warm enough to be comfortable, not cold.

Very nice rangers and neighbors! Facilities very well kept up and new. Short walk and/or drive to the beach :)

Real nice place to camp would have been better if we had a electric site. I did try to see if I could one because we came in a day early but you had to do reservations on line or phone and I was kept waiting for 20 minutes or more.

The campground is very clean and maintained along with great location and friendly staff. The only real issue is the showers, it 2021 and the antiquated pull chains are a return deal breaker for me along with the general setup of 2 with near zero privacy. Be ready to be eaten alive by the gnats that can and will slip through your mesh.

I LOVE this campground. I wish they had more water and electric sites

Oregon inlet is a convenient place to camp to be near activities and restaurants in Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk and Nags Head. You don't have to rent a home or condo to be near these attractions. It is a good starting point if you are heading to Hatteras.

Campgrounds are clean and well kept. Bugs were bad as everyone has stated, but the short walk to the beach was nice. No shade at the campsite, so bring shelter. Pros out weigh the cons so I'll be back.
