What a great camping experience. Camping so near the beach with electric and water was super. The only negative was that the 30 amp receptacle showed signs of melting. Out of caution we decided to use the 50 amp instead.

Half the campground was flooded when we arrived. But this was expected when I called before we came down. The only thing that this place really needs is an update to the camping spaces. This place really is awesome. The only thing is that to back into a space can be difficult when other space are full and other campers are parked oddly, due to the small spaces.

As always things were clean. Had an issue with power pole and could find no one to even report it to. Figured out a work around, but someone with no skills would have been in a fix.

I've been to several national park campgrounds to camp & this one needs some improvement. I've given this camp a 3 , because in my opinion this campground needs updating. The paved roads in the campgrounds are very narrow and many times while getting in and out of camp with a 36' class A w/ toad, I was off the pavement with at least one or two wheels, which wasn't a huge deal until one of the many parked vehicles, were parked with part of vehicle in the already narrow roadway. We camped in site 17C, there are no patios, & patio area was uneven, so there really is no where to lay your patio rug to try to keep sand out of the camper. And while I realize we are at the beach, I'd prefer to leave as much of the sand there as possible. Sites were clean and maintained otherwise. Pedestals were nice and worked as they should. Bathrooms were clean. Walk to the beach was a little further than expected. Which was not a problem for me, but for my 79 yr old mom, it was a little too far. Beware of "Sand Burrs"!!! They stick to the bottom of shoes/sandals, which can be carried into RV carpet & are painful for pets paws & they seemed plentiful. With all that said, Not sure that I would return. We camped at Oregon Inlet in a Motorhome.

No shade so be prepared for the heat. Wind prevents using awning. Nice location for fishing. Camp ground was clean.

We love Oregon Inlet Campground. If you need a lot of amenities, this campground may not be for you. But we rent an RV spot with water and electricity, and that's all we need. The showers and bathrooms are good, ocean is a short walk away. With 4x4 beach access, its even easier.

Great campsite with excellent water/elec hook-up. Very helpful and friendly rangers, especially Rodney and Carol, who are volunteers. They went above and beyond helping us with our new camper. Many thanks to them for helping make our stay a great experience!

The location is great and the power/water pole is super. Love the light that is on the pole at all times to help with nighttime hookup. Showers were not as expected. You have to pull on a chain to keep the water going and they are open air showers. Not comfortable at all in cold temperatures and windy conditions. When we arrived the dump station was closed indefinitely so we had to be very careful about using our camper bathroom. To make matters more challenging, the campground was at least 80% full the weekend we were there but they only had ONE bathroom/bathhouse open. What was a supposed to be a short walk from our camper to our loop's bathhouse was a long walk to the only open bathroom. It was even farther for tent campers who had no other option. We could at least use our camper bathroom in an emergency but tent campers were stuck with the long walk no matter what. It would not have taken long to open another bathroom. Garbage cans were overflowing with only one available for use. Also the path to the bathroom is NOT handicap friendly. The path is very soft, deep sand and uphill and there was only one path access on one side of the bathrooms. Campers on the other side of the loop had to walk through people's campsites to get to the bathroom which is awkward. Elderly people were having a tough time getting to the bathrooms as was my daughter who has a harder time getting around due to her disability (the reason I reserved a site that was supposed to be by a bathroom). It is nice that the state park system has upgraded Oregon Inlet to include electric and water hookups but there are definitely improvements needed or at least notices on the website about accessibility, bathroom closures, and open air showers. Probably will not return.

Beautiful campsite just over the dunes from the ocean. Enjoyed seeing the lighthouses and the Pea Island wildlife refuge.

I have been to Oregon inlet Campground twice so far. I have to say I really enjoyed it. the showers and the restrooms are very clean. the campsites are roomy. I have camped at all the private Campgrounds on the obx and they are all very nice but recently I had to sell my camper and I am temporarily truck camping until I purchase a new camper and the national park Campgrounds are perfect for me..
