We had a wonderful stay at Oregon Inlet Campground. Facilities are nice, the staff we spoke to were very friendly. Can't wait to get back soon.

I never seen so many stars in the sky before. Great location.

Wasnt what I had hoped for. The beauty of the dunes and the sound of the ocean nearby is the only reason for giving 2 Stars. The site has too many pads placed too close together. This means more inconsiderate people are sure to be a constant annoyance. To make matters worse, a late arrival (8 hours late!) started setting up his campsite at midnight. The sound of the ocean and the site, with its beautiful dunes was overwhelmed by the sound of tone deaf visitors setting up their site in the middle of night. Too many people! I prefer a more off grid experience and cannot imagine what a visit in summer would be like for people who like their privacy.

My reservation for A27 was cancelled by the Park Service four days before my arrival so I had to scramble to get another. I have not received a refund yet. B12 is just ok because it's small and in the RV loop. It's also right beside the Beach Access, so lots of foot traffic beside your site. The worst was the diesels would stop in the road and idle. You have been warned.

We loved being tucked into the sand dunes. We booked 3 months out and were only able to get only a non-electric site. I heard that you need to book 6 months out to get utilities. The beach was awesome but a bit of a hike due to the big sand dunes, but easily accessible from the nearby beach road. Bathrooms were cleaned every morning. The showers were a bit iffy with solar heat and a pull ring so didn't use them. Loved, loved, loved the location! Central location for access to sites both south and north on the Outer Banks.

They didn't give me a conformation of the site I paid for with power.

We loved our campsite B12 with serene, natural setting and near trail access through dunes to the beach! We will definitely be back!It would be nice to have boardwalk to beach for bike access. Marina and dump station across street very nice but signage to find is a bit hard, but that will probably improve after construction is finished. It was one of our favorite campsites ever!

I used Oregon Inlet Campground as a base from which to photograph bears, owls and other animals at Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge, which is 24 miles (a half-hour drive) away. It's an excellent base of operations.

Excellent RV and tent campground , short 100 yard walk to the sea. Had a wonderful time and will definitely return. Sites are a bit more cramped than other national forest campgrounds but it is understandable as real estate is a premium in this area. But still much better than the RV parks. We had one night where so strong that I could hear tents flying in the wind (most of the tent folks ended up sleeping in their cars as I observed walking the dog the next morning. If you are bringing an RV, stay in loops B and C. Some sites have water/electricity some have nothing, so look carefully before booking

Very nice campground. There are a lot of sand spurs (thorny hitch hikers).
