Great campground, great Parks staff. Very easy access to wonderful beach. Exposed to elements so be prepared for a whole range of weather - afternoon thunderstorms can be quite severe with very strong winds. If you take car on beach the access is VERY deep loose sand so pay attention to lowering tire pressures as directed by access signs. 4-5 free air inflation lines are available across the road at the marina. Was our second visit - love it, will be back.

Great camp site! We did tent camping and the site has water and electric hook up. I would recommend

Shower rope needs repair in C loop. Host was nice and helpful.

No complaints at all ... the campground is close to Coquina and Pea Island beaches, Fishing is just over the dunes for surf casting, or across NC12 for sound fishing. All the campers were respectful of everyone (nobody playing loud music, fireworks, drinking games and loud conversations) . I had a nice stay while I was there .

Beautiful winter camping spot! It was just a short, pleasant walk through the dunes to the shoreline. As a solo female camper I felt very safe. It was just me and my dog in my camper van. The handful of fellow campers I encountered were friendly. The sites are pretty close together, so I don't think this would be my vibe anywhere near peak season however. The amazing sunrises and sunsets, phenomenal stargazing, and lack of crowds make it a great winter camping spot in my book though.

Host was helpful and friendly, bathrooms always clean and well-stocked. Location of this campground is amazing - within walking distance of the beach and the Oregon Inlet harbor, 10 minutes from Bodie Island lighthouse. Having access to power for AC was important as there is no shade, and the sites are quite close, but overall a lovely campground and would happily return.

I loved the ease of the self check in. The campground was very clean. We had no issues. My only suggestion would be to make recycling more accessible.

There is no shade, and it is very windy, so it's difficult to sit outside.
